I'm somewhat irritated by the fact that regardless of my prioritizations, the ESV always opens when I type a reference into the Command box.
Does anyone else experience this??? How can I change it???
doing that always opens my Preferred Bible: NIV (selected from the Home Page).
Richard is correct, change your preferred bible and the command line will return scriptures from the bible you set as preferred.

You can omit the word "open" for less typing (I highly recommend that -- I never type "open" it's totally superfluous). So, for example, to go to Romans 8:1 in the NIV (if it doesn't happen to be your preferred Bible), type:
NIV to Rom 8:1

I don't. I haven't. Ever -- I didn't notice this earlier because I rarely use the command bar for that. And I get the NLT for everything else I do, just not this.

That is not normal. For me no matter what translation is preferred it always opens. I usually have ESV set, so to test I set NLT and typed Jonn 3:16 and it worked. It opened the NLT to John 3:16.
You have a snafu and should contact support.

That's really weird. I just tried exactly what you said, changed my preferred Bible to NLT, and then typed Rom 8:1 in the command bar, and it worked fine for me. It opened the NLT. I tried it for several other verses just in case, and got the same results. Also tried "go Rom 8:1" and "open Rom 8:1" -- all worked fine and went to the NLT. I even tried prioritizing ESV higher than NLT and still, typing a reference in the command bar opens NLT when it's my preferred Blble. Even when I removed NLT from my prioritized Bibles, so that only ESV was in there, that didn't change anything about how this worked.
So you must have some weird glitch in your installation that happened during the beta.
What happens if you hide the ESV temporarily (Tools > Program Settings > Hidden Resources; then drag ESV from Library to the Hidden Resources area and restart Logos). Does it still go to the ESV when you type a reference in the command bar then? If that works, then unhide the ESV, and maybe that will be sufficient to fix this glitch.
If not, email Logos Support (support@logos.com) and tell them about the problem, because they are not necessarily always keeping up with all the threads on this forum.
I remember reading in a different thread that the Command line remembers not only what you type but the action you perform after you type it. It might be, and this is only a guess, that L4 is remember the first thing you did after typing a verse until you do something else. It doesn't seem to be the issue because others testing your problem could change their translation priority and it effected the results, but the problem might be somehow related. What happens if you change your preferred bible to the ESV, perform a verse lookup, and then change it back to the NLT. Maybe something on the innards of L4 needs to be "unstuck".

Yours is a good idea too. I'm all for trying various things to get software "unstuck" -- it happens quite regularly.
Just to update: I was able to fix it by re-re-re-setting my "preferred bible" - though I still get the ESV in the exegetical guide beside the Greek text, but as I understand it, that's because the NLT RI isn't complete yet.
