Payment plans for Pre-pub

[and thus CP as they become Pre-pub at the time of acceptance].

Because this month's purchases exceeded what I my budget can handle I had to drop two titles.

Yes, maybe if I had called sales maybe we could have worked something out but not looking for special privileges for just me. [this has been requested before]

One option is to make payment to your account every month, and when the resource is about to ship, have your sales rep pay for it from your account. The amount that is available for spending shows up in your account.

How does one pay to their account? Does bookkeeping have to set that up? This option is news to me.

Call sales tell them your account and ask them to apply the money to your account.

What you would do in this case is call a rep and tell them you want to add the Pre-Pub to a payment plan. He or she will take a "snap-shot" of your order, and then add it at that amount to your payment plan when it is released. This is how it was explained to me.

I'd even be happy if there were payment plans for pre-pubs that are over a couple of hundred dollars. For example, the soon to be released "Aramaic Bible Series" for $800 - I want it, but my credit card says no...lol!

Just an update...I rang sales today and they said they are unable to do this... so I was wondering if anyone else has been able to add a pre-pub to a current payment plan?

You set up automatic deductions from your bank account each month and then use that as credit for Logos books, whether pre-pub, CP, or regular.

You set up automatic deductions from your bank account each month and then use that as credit for Logos books, whether pre-pub, CP, or regular.

That's a good idea, but it's too little to late for the Aramaic Bible Series. No one would have been able to build up any balance in such an account this soon.

Yes, Greg, it sounds like a good idea for some...but I'd rather be chipping way at my credit cards just now...then there wouldn't be an issue anyway...lol.

Quick update...when I called Sales last time the fellow must have been new or a junior...he told me he did not have such an authority to help me with my request...and since it was a Saturday his supervisor was unavailable...so I called back in the week and I got someone who almost instantly added my pre-pub to the existing plan (with a one month processing fee)...I am well pleased! Thank you Logos!!!
