Is there a way to make the guide go to a specific verse as opposed to a pericope?
Is there a way to get it to work with NIV interlinear instead of the NASB?
-new user with SLOW performance. Yes, the indexing is complete.

There is, but sometimes it stubbornly insists on a pericope. I'm not sure what the trick is off hand.
Unfortunately there is no NIV interlinear yet. They are working on it and it will come out. To change from the NASB to another translation click on NASB and it will give you a list
Thanks for the fast help. Perfomance should improve as Carbonite finishes backing up the new library.[:)]
to go to a specific verse just manually type in the exact verse
i think it will work with whatever bible you make as your priority bible
Open "Exegetical Guide" from the "Guides" menu. Type your verse in the navigation window.
Slow performance can be due to a large number of factors, not all of which are understood. A couple of things to try: shut off spyware monitoring background tasks; turn off "Tablet PC Input Services" in the Services module of Windows. You can also try shutting down other background tasks you may have running (especially those that access the internet periodically).
@ Howard, typing in exact verse didn't work, maybe I just need to try it again.
@ Richard, It's mostly carbonite, which will finish by morning. Thanks for the link on the videos. These new vids on L4 are helpful.
RE: interlinears: the BDAG download is looking REAL attractive now.
Anyone running Logos 4 with BDAG?
I read a blurb about needing to run an add-in
Important: If you purchase the download, you will need to run the Logos Addins Auto-Update in order to get the BDAG search Addin.
That's true -- for Libronix.
Which base package do you have in Logos4?
I am running Leaders LE, Logos 4
And when you open the Exegetical Guide (not from the home page, but from the menu Guides > Exegetical Guide), do you see this:
(Minus the Luke1:67 reference, of course)
If you do, then put the focus in that box and type your verse. If not, tell us what you do see.
Note: the screen capture is from making the EG a floating window (for image capture purposes).

[
Important: If you purchase the download, you will need to run the Logos Addins Auto-Update in order to get the BDAG search Addin.
I've got BDAG with Logos4 Platinum. Although I ran the Logos Addins Auto-Update I didn't get the BDAG Search Addin into my Libronix3. Any ideas?
Did you sync your licenses in L3 before running the update script?
Yes, I did the license sync. Then I downloaded the resources for L3.
There is no problem with BDAG itself in L3, but I have no chance to install the corresponding search addin.
Don't add-ins install with the normal Logos installation script?

They don't - I have put together a page with all the links to update everything in version 3.0 - Run them from top to bottom.

I betcha I don't hear anyone complaining and wanting to go back to that system eh?
If you want to search BDAG in L4 with the same flexibility of the BDAG search addin for Libronix read: http://wiki.logos.com/BDAG_Search
Thanks, Kevin. Hadn't seen that.

Jeff, I ran all the scripts on your site consecutively with the result that there are no updates available. Nevertheless the BDAG search addin is missing.Any further hints?
Thank you allMarkus
I know - most people don't know or never had to download hundreds of megabytes of updates - and you had to know when and where to find them. Even though the 4 updates are larger (and with all of us hitting them at the same time doesn't help) at least they are systematic and on-time. [:D]
Do you still have a Logos3 install DVD? That should restore the missing addins without messing up the rest of the installation. Assuming it does, you should run the update add-ins script afterwards to ensure the add-in is uptodate.
Markus,
I put all the addin files from 3 into a zip file that can be downloaded here
http://jeffbrown.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/SearchBDAG.zip
Just unzip them and copy the ones you need to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Libronix DLS\Common\LDLS\Addins (for 64bit System)
C:\Program Files\Libronix DLS\Common\LDLS\Addins (for 32bit System)

Thank you, Jeff I've downloaded them and give it a try after Sunday service.
Markus
I've copied the SearchBDAG.lbxadd file to the correct location then restarted L3 several times.
However there is no BDAG search functionality. Even when I open "Tools - Options - General - Addins" the SearchBDAG isn't listed there. What should I do now?
Thank you for your efforts on helping me!
Have you tried reinstalling from a DVD?
Yes, of course. I did this before manually copying the *.lbxadd file.
On final question. Is the add-in listed in Tooles / Options / General / Add-ins (and if so, is it ticked, obviously)?
Mark, the addin is not listed (and therefore not ticked) at the specified location.

Agree 100%. We can either have downloading that takes several non-intervention hours, Hunt and download which takes more and user-attended hours, or mailing that takes several days, plus the installation process hours. I'll take the former. My heart does go out to our fellow users across the sea with data caps, though.
Thanks Richard, I was having a problem with the exegetical guide running slowly on my tablet pc, I disabled the Tablet Pc Input Services and it works like a charm now.
