dragging/dropping to notes

A few weeks ago, I used to be able to drag content from my clippings file straight into my notes (set on SPLIT view). Now, when I try to do the same drag/drop, it gives me the circle w/ slash and won't let me do it. Only way to move the information is to cut/paste. While this isn't horribly inconvenient, I do this a lot, and really like the drag/drop option.
Has this been taking out w/ 5.1, or is there a setting that I'm missing?
Please help a pastor seeking efficiency.

I've never attempted to do what you are trying to do, so I can't speak about "how it used to be." I doubt there is a setting you can change… If the behavior has changed, it may be due to the new notes editor, which debuted in 5.1.
