Footnotes - Exporting Journal Articles but footnotes do not show in MS Word

Hi, I am trying to export a journal article from my Theological Journals, via the Export feature. I have Footnotes turned on in Program Settings, and the "show Footnotes on page" option ticked in the drop down menu while in the actual Journal. When I export to MS Word, only the footnote citing which journal I have copied from comes up, not the footnotes from within the journal article itself. Any Help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks Steve

    There are different ways of exporting, and confusingly, they have different results. The footnotes option in Program Settings relates to copy/paste from the right-click menu.

    To get footnotes on print/export you have to select"Show footnotes on page" from the resource menu, before you choose print/export.

    Thanks for your help Mark. Unfortunately I had already done as you suggested (selecting " Show footnotes on page") but when I chose the Print/Export option from the resource menu, and from there chose the "send  to new document: MS Word" option, it shows the journal article in MS Word but without footnotes. The only way I could get the footnotes across was as you suggested through the copy/paste from right click (which is what I have done in the past, seems like I will need to do for now), I just thought there would be a simpler way without having to highlight the whole article first. Thanks again for reminding me of the right-click option.

    I tested this with Logos 5 before I made the suggestion, so I know it works in Logos 5. I also know it didn't used to work in earlier versions of Logos 4, but I wasn't sure about more up-to-date versions. If you don't have that in the latest Logos 4, then it must be a Logos 5 feature.

    But, you can download Logos 5 for free, from www.logos.com/download. You won't get all the new datasets for free, of course, but you will get lots of little enhancements (including this one).

    Mark, I have now spent hours and I sympathize with Stephen.  I have Logos 5.2b SR-3 (5.2.2.1531), I have done everything that you and Stephen described.  In the export screen I see the footnotes cited inside the journal article (Christian Apologetics Journal Vol 3:1 (Spring 2004) in the article "God and Allah: Are They the Same?".

    However, from the same print/export screen utilizing ALL export options on the right side of panel, everything makes it into Word except the footnotes that I can clearly see in the preview panel.  So what am I missing?  In your post you said you tested it, did you test all the way through seeing the footnotes in the Word document?  I am sure hoping you have the answer to fixing my problem!  Thank you for the time you spend here helping us out!

    I just tested this for you (also on 5.2b SR-3), and it works for me (for this test I clicked "Send to a New Document"):

    I'm using Word 2010 on Windows 7. What are you using?
