deleting old exegetical and passage guides

I have a huge number of old passage and exegetical guides (several years worth) and I want to get rid of most of them. Is there an easier way than selecting each individual one and deleting it? I tried left clicking and and dragging and holding down the control key while selecting them but I can only get one at a time. It is very frustrating and time consuming if I have to get rid of them individually.

1. Open the Guide menu.

2. In the box type exeg or pass

3. Place your mouse on the line under the reference column to select the first one.

4. Now hold down the shift key and then select the last available guide that you want to delete. If scrolling creates a problem, then select the farthest one available. This is block selecting.

5. Now press the delete key on your keyboard.
