I have been using Logos almost every single day since I upgraded to 5 and it never crashes on me. Am I doing something wrong?
That's really outrageous. Are you sure you know how to use it? Maybe they'll give you your money back?
almost certainly if you are running a Mac[:D]
I know the feeling Alan. Nothing to complain about. Siggghhhh!
Now that you mention it I must also be missing out on all the fun.
I purchased a new computer with Windows 8 and I have not had a problem with Logos 5. Hmmmm!! [:)]
I must be doing something wrong too and I'm even on a PC!
I must be doing something wrong too
Say it ain't so! [:D]

alabama24 are you ready to cross over?
I have found my therapy group.
My Logos 5 has stopped continuously re-indexing for over 3 months! Can I wear a 3 month badge?

Thanks for sharing. I thought it was only me that was not crashing. I use Logos 5 on two PC's extensively every day and haven't crashed in a very long time
I'd give up Logos before I'd give up Mac... Thankfully I don't have to. I know it irritates Logos for some of us to complain about Logos not being a "native" app (it kind of is) or not being "Mac like" enough (and its not!), but I'm thankful for where the app is, and how far it has come over the past several years. I'm also pleased with the mobile app. It is very good and getting better.
I'd give up Logos before I'd give up Mac...
I don't believe you. Are you telling me that if Mac dropped off the planet you would not use a PC to access Logos? I have always taken you to be more intelligent than emotional. [8-|] ...but maybe I was mistaken. [;)]

Well… in that case… I would remember James 1:2-4 and Romans 5:3-4, hold my nose, and use Winders [:D]

At this point, the reverse is more likely to be true... But if Apple went out of business, I'd use what I had to use.
You know there is more than that shiny opening Home Screen under the covers, right? [;)]
Maybe some day we'll let you in the Logos Crash User Group, but first you have to admit there's a problem.
Though Logos isn't perfect, I am glad that they have responsive support and developers who are willing to actively work on problems. You don't get that kind of service from normal big box software companies. I'm thankful for all they offer on the investment.
Hmmm, now that you mention it. I haven't had any major problems either. I'm calling customer support.:)

Alan, do you never go to church? I mean people in church can always find something to complain about. Where is your religion, man?
I kind of sympathize with those who aren't able to compete in the 'Maximum Crash Situations before Logos6 Arrives) competition. I'm up to 4 'ways to leave your lover'. One more to go, to match the Logos4 record. Yahoo!
I thought that was only true of Baptists. You mean it happens with other traditions also? [^o)]

Were all in the same boat brother.
Alas, I am a Baptist PC user. Now I REALLY feel left out! [^o)]
Although, last night I was going to write a snarky PC/Mac comment and I had a rare Windows 7 "Blue Screen of Death" (Logos was not running at the time.... [:D])
Another Baptist MAC Convert. I, too, am doing something wrong as I have never had a crash, not even on the Windows side.
Rick and Alan, maybe we should start a support group, for person who do not have Logos crashes. [:)]

Just what we need and then maybe a group for atheists to complain about the amount of Biblical content…(hey could happen a lot of classical literature coming in place bringing Logos to people not interested in Biblical studies)….

I have never really had a crash, but a few times I experience a "not responding" message. Then my computer catches up to what I am asking Logos to do. So all is right in my Wesleyan-Holiness world.
Well, I have had, not really a crash, but a issue with which I had to reinstall.

Things for the Mac clan have improved significantly since the very end of L4 and the start of L5. Yet, it is still not hard to find pesky little bugs. This is factually backed up by the number of bugs fixed on Mac as opposed to Windows even in the last two service releases. Just the last few days I have found formatting errors in the information pane when tagging single or multiple resources... to the point that you can't even click 'add tag' because it is not visible. I need to document this and send it in. So if I am pressed on the subject, I would have to say that if someone is primarily concerned with buying a computer for Logos and they expect a very high standard, my reply would be to go Windows.
All that said, things are much, much better on the Mac. I am hopeful that the momentum for improvement will only continue. The frequency of needing to report a medium to serious bug has reduced significantly.
