Thanks. That's quite helpful. Widescreen doesn't work too well for reading. Your solution is good to take advantage of the extra screen real estate.
Good layout. One thing you could also consider is putting everything in a floating window. That way you are using even more screen (no menus at top) and less distractions.
really nice. The only change I made was to enlarge the power look up window...to about double wide...

Another idea I just had would be to have a Basic search box open on the left, referring to either the whole library or the book you are reading. Anytime you want to find an instance of a word just type it in and do a search. It will highlight all the occurrences.
