I have Good news translation in PC bible study and in Logos ,but I see there is a difference in translation,eg: in Col 4:7 in PCBS it says:Col 4:7 "Our dear friend Tychicus," in Logos:"Our dear brother Tychicus," What could be this difference?
The first two NT Editions came in 1966. The third NT Edition came in 1971. The fourth NT Edition together with the first Edition 39-book OT in 1976. The first Edition of the Deuterocanonicals came in 1979. The fifth Edition of the NT together with the second Edition of the full OT in 1992, of which the anglicised Edition came in 1994. The sixth Edition NT with the third Edition 39-book OT came in 2004 in UK-English only.
(I'll have to find my 2004 66-book Bible, it's somewhere in my home.)

I have a 4th edition (1976), a 1979, and 1994. All have brother… When i opened up Accordance it't text listed as 1992 and has friend. Logos 1992 has brother. But I am at a loss as to why Logos text is labeled as 1992, since I would guess brother was brought back to gain catholic imprimatur (just a guess???).

I have the 1992 Catholic Edition as printed matter, (foreword from Epiphany 2003 and maps by UBS 2006), it says "friend".
It appears both the American Bible Society and the British and Foreign Bible Society have copyright claims to various versions. Could the variance in glosses for ἀδελφὸς be related to which copyright holder the 2 software companies dealt with?
It's surprising that there would be that much difference between the 1992 American and 1994 Anglicized Edition but it seems so!
But I think it's still probable that PCSB has the 1976 Edition because I can't see any reason why they would have wanted the Anglicized Edition:

FYI just for fun I thought i would share this tidbit, initial Catholic editions had the 1979 apocrypha in them, it was a few years before the revised deutrocanonical books were in the Bible.
