High Contrast

Hi, I was wondering if there might be a way to make all of Logos 4 or 5 display high contrast. I understand that SOME backgrounds can be changed to white on black, but I cannot find a way to do this with the rest of the program (menus, context menues, Bible lists, etc.)

I recently lost most of my vision and it has been a nightmare. I had purchased a pretty substantial package and am not able to use any of my books. I am barely able to read the screen on high contrast display (white text on black background), but I cannot see any of the menu and list items. It all comes across as pure white.

I am also unable to read written books and have only been able to cobble together audiobooks and a few ebooks that I've collected over the years.

If there is ANY way to make this better, I'd appreciate the help. Even if I have to manually modify Logos files, I would totally be willing to take a stab at that. I am still pastoring my church and am trying to preach every week, but it's been a challenge without access to my library.

If anyone can be any help in this, I'd greatly appreciate it. If someone can modify an xml file or something and email it to me, that would be helpful too. Obviously, I don't have a clue what I'm talking about though. :-)

Sorry that you lost your sight. Have you tried changing the contrast on your computer. You may need to contact Logos by telephone 800-875-6467 or email support@logos.com

Thanks, I do have my computer on high contrast. It's the only way I can use it. Unfortunately, that doesn't change anything in Logos. I will probably call eventually, but I just thought someone might be able to help in the forums first.

Aaron ... are you changing your contrast in the PC's video screen properties (right click on the desktop ... advanced properties). By zero'ing the saturation, moving the contrast high, and turning the brightness down, it gives a nice BW high-contrast to Logos (and all your other apps).

I'm working currently in a black and white Logos, along with large fonts.

Thanks for the help. I'll try that. I'm using a high contrast theme for Windows. I don't see anywhere for saturation, though. I'll take another look, but I really wish I didn't have to mess up everything else that I have working with this theme.

I didn't have any luck finding anything like what you were talking about. I should point out that I am running Windows 7.

I should also point out that I need to eliminate as much of the "white" backgrounds as possible. The way that my vision works, it washes out any white that is in the background and I am unable to see any text. This is why I need all the colors inverted.

I'd still really like to just be able to change the colors in the program itself. Then I wouldn't have to figure out how to fix my web browser and other programs again.

I do have a note in to the tech support. Perhaps they can help me with the issue too. I'd be grateful for any other suggestions.

A pity you're on Windows. On Mac Ctrl-Opt-Cmd-8 works everywhere, including Logos, if you've activated it in System Preferences.

Yes, it truly is. I spent all my money on Logos and can't afford a Mac. :P Actually, my ipad and iphone have been lifesavers in this time. They both have built in dictation and reading capabilities and easily switch to inverted colors. They have both been amazing helps during this difficult struggle.

I do wish that Logos would simply be able to change a few colors. It really stinks not being able to use my library.

I'm still hoping that someone might be able to help me. I've written several emails to support now, and their response wound up being that I should post in the forums!

Any other suggestions would be greatley appreciated.
