Reading Plan Sync Issues
Hi, there,
I'm still having problems with my iOS reading plan syncing with Logos Silver v. 5. None of the "check marks" from the iPad transmit back to the PC app, although iPad-to-iPad works just fine.
iPad app version 3.4.0.2142
Logos 5 version 5.1.SR-2 5.1.0.0963 (Silver IH)

Do you normally read on your iPad? Desktop?
How old is the plan? What is the plan? Custom or stock?
Have you tried creating a new plan to see the syncing?
Have you seen if it works right from desktop to mobile?

Read on iPad, plan dates back to Logos 3. Custom Plan, Ge-Mal, Mt-Re | Ps | PR Yes, just tried re-creating it on PC as a new reading plan, "read" it on the iPad, closed and re-opened and re-synced PC Logos 5, didn't sync/update.

Interestingly, if I click on a checkbox in Logos 5 for either the old (real) or new (test) reading plan, then it updates properly. Is that normal?

When I asked about how old the plan was, I didn't mean"when did you think of it," but rather "when did you create/enter it into Logos." It sounds like you created an identical plan today, right? If so, then you created it today... Surely you didn't mean to say that your reading plan has been continuous since L3, did you?
If all works properly, you should be able to "mark read" the plan on either desktop or mobile and it should sync. If you marked today's readings "as read," you shouldn't have to do anything...
Can you take a screenshot of the reading plan document? I might try to replicate the plan to see if there is something unique causing the problem.

I just use the same over and over and over and over. Sorry, lack of creativity here, so yes, it's the same as from Logos 3. The "new" plan created today uses the exact same parameters as the "old."
I'll post a pic tomorrow assuming that the iPad doesn't sync again with the PC.

No, that is not normal - the issue you are seeing sounds like a Logos 5 problem.
If marking a reading as "read" on Logos Mobile also updates Biblia.com and documents.logos.com, that means mobile sync is working properly. If clicking a Reading checkbox in Logos 5 updates the view, that also indicates the information is already there on the sync servers but Logos 5 isn't updating properly.

It seems that several users have had reading plan issues, but I can't replicate. Do you know if a case has been created for L5?

I've got say that I'm having reading plan syncing problems too. On July 30 I created one to read Calvin's Institutes in a year. I believe I created it on the Mac. The next day I went to read the next section on my Windows PC. The reading plan was there and all of my highlights from the previous day, but the reading progress was wrong; it still said I hadn't read my first section and was a day behind. I clicked done for that day, read the next section and marked the second day done. Went to read it on the Mac on day three and it was the same issue: highlights synced but reading progress didn't...right away...it did after a couple hours of not touching it. Same problem on PC for day four. Today I opened it on my Android app and it said I was still at the beginning! For me, the reading plan sync is pretty much useless. I don't want to find my spot depending on my device. I know this is the ios section, but it was the first relevant search result that came up on my phone. And something tells me I'd have the same problem on my ipad.

Please create a new thread in the L5 forum. Give as much relevant info as possible (I.e. what version of logos, what OS, etc.)
