Sorry for not responding to your previous posts. I hope the following answers all of your current inquiries. Please let me know if you have any other questions and I will try to find out the answers to the best of my ability and respond in a timely manner.
fgh said:I believe the Summa Theologica (22 vols.), the Summa Theologica: English and Latin Bundle (30 vols.) and the Summa Contra Gentiles (4 vols.) have been off prepub considerably longer than 6 months.
The same goes for the ECF, both editions. And Lives of the Saints (12 vols.) has been live a year.
Not all of our collections get split up after coming off of pre-pub. Sometimes there are restrictions that keep certain collections from being split. Sorry if my previous posts have been misleading in any way and I am sorry for any inconvenience.
fgh said:Dana Valerie said:The individuals from Eerdmans Old Testament History Collection (7 vols.) are now available.
There seem to be several volumes in this collection that should have been tagged as Catholic, but aren't.
Some of the titles are now marked as Catholic. Thanks for bringing this up.
fgh said:I hope this price is a mistake:
At the time the prices for the individual titles of the BHS Helps Collection (3 vols.) were correct.
I have adjusted the prices of the individuals so they are more up-to-date:

Thanks for replying and repricing.

I know, but 'restrictions' usually apply to copyrighted works. These are all public domain. No 'restrictions' for those, surely, other than Logos' will?
Dana Valerie said:Some of the titles are now marked as Catholic.
Interesting. I've been used to look in the right column of the product pages to see how a book is tagged, but none of these books show any tags there. They do, however, show up if I filter on Catholic and Eerdmans. Why don't the tags show on the right?
Also, after checking some more, I believe all authors in the collection are Catholic. In the past, all works by Catholic authors have been tagged as Catholic, even when the subject is anything but. For example, the Ugaritic Library (12 vols.) and the Northwest Semitic Collection (7 vols.) are both tagged as Catholic, because they're published by PBI. I'm one of those people who like consistency.[:)]

The Massorah was meant to cost more than the collection it's included in? Fascinating![:O]

After looking further, the collections you listed were built as one resource so it isn't possible to split them up.

Are you talking about the "Similar Product by Category" section? If so, it usually takes a little bit for it to update. If it still doesn't appear after a bit then I can look into it further.

You are quite right! I should have thought of that myself, instead of wasting your time.[:$] What a shame. Or, well, I'm quite glad to only have one line in my library for each of them, but it's a pity people can't buy one or two volumes of the Summa without having to buy them all.
That is, you're right about the ones I gave links for. The ECF, though, are separate volumes.
Dana Valerie said:it usually takes a little bit for it to update
You were right about that too. I can see it now.

Dana,
since you're so kindly answering questions about breaking up collections, is there any chance you could comment on whether the revised edition of the expository bible commentary might be broken up at some point? Thanks! http://www.logos.com/product/20185/expositors-bible-commentary-revised-edition

Dana-
Is there some way to close public comments for this thread and start a new one just for comments? I don't want to limit anyone's ability to comment but I, and I'm guessing others as well, have e-mail notifications set up so that I know whenever you post announcing new collections being broken up. Every time I get a notification, I excitedly open the e-mail only to find out most of the time that it isn't an announcement but rather someone asking a question.
Closing this thread for public comment and starting a new one for that purpose would seem to be a solution for all concerned. Just my $0.02.
Thanks!-Scott Sovereign

Dana,
any chance of breaking up the Zondervan commentaries package? This has been requested years ago (http://community.logos.com/forums/t/26037.aspx ), without Logos interaction, but the times have changed a bit since then anyway, haven't they?
As discussed here: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/68188/475239.aspx#475239 the two volumes from the African Commentary Series are the only books in the collection that are currently not available on a standalone basis.

Paul, that's the best comment I've seen! There is such a thread newly started by DMB: Hey!! They Broke This Up .... Comment
Paul Newsome said:If i could request any further requests to be made in another thread.
I have no requests for the braking up of any collections, Logos brakes them up faster than I think is necessary and I'm not interested in the sets that I don't have that have been out for a long time and not broken up. I wish Logos sustains in business long enough that it's possible and some value in giving my resources to someone when I get too old - have to prepare for that by making separate files for highlightings, and for notes, for every resource.Disclosure!

When is this collection going to be broken up? Could I encourage it along towards break-up time?
http://www.logos.com/product/9438/amg-bible-essentials
It's been around for a long time and I have most of what's in it, but the Spurgeon titles in it are not available in any other Spurgeon collection or as stand-alone, and I would like to get them. Also AMG Bible Illustrations. The rest I already have or am not interested in.
Thanks!

I would also like to recommend breaking-up the BECNT Upgrade. The original 8 volumes have already been broken up (along with the OT "counterpart"), so I would like to encourage that this upgrade also be considered.
Thanks!

I thought about the same thing, but I went ahead and got what I needed and a few extras from a third party...just had it unlocked about a week ago. Awesome resources!!! I even ordered the Greek NT Audio on MP3 with a native speaker reading it (The native speaker Mr. Zodhiates himself!!!).

Sorry for adding to the inbox spam here, but it seems to me that we see logos respond to requests to break up books. This hasn't been mirrored in the other threads. Further it seems that those who are subscribed to this thread have an interest in seeing more sets broken up. The requests bring about the very things that caused you to subscribe to this thread in the first place. Thus it would seem to me that since requests here result in more (and more interesting) broken up sets, that trying to stop requests here might in some way result in fewer (and less interesting) sets being broken up.Lee said:Gordon Jones said:I was just thinking the same! Thus perhaps if we try to keep chatter to a minimum, and if those who are annoyed bear with the rest of us a little bit, then there is no longer an issue and lots of sets that people are interested in, end up being broken up. We are all happier at that point no?

I quoted someone else's suggestion, which I support. That post was posted a while back.
So chill out, please don't attribute problems to me. It is rude. If I had wanted to jam up this thread, and demonstrate that I have read your post, I would have questioned this statement:

Instead, I chose to be brief and not complicate matters. So there, there's your explanation.

You can request it, but some of us won't comply unless you can help us out. I leave a brief comment from time-to-time to mark my progress in the thread. It has gotten so long, I can't remember how far I've read without leaving a comment. If you have a better idea on how to mark my progress, I'll be happy to listen.
Keeping a list on paper is *not* a better idea.

Doc! I couldn't tell if you were responding to me from back in March or to Lee's more recent quote of my request, so I thought I'd speak to it. Going back through all of your posts to this thread I've never thought any were unwanted or a waste! In fact I always thought the response posts to Logos about recent unbundling were cool!
My request was a simple reiteration from my original post back in 2011, that turned into a place for Logos to speak about the latest collection breakups (never thought that would happen but sure am grateful it did!)
I simply wanted a spot where collection breakups could be announced without the misunderstanding that it was also a place for requests, which could be more effectively communicated by direct e-mail to Logos.
Nothing against those who felt the thread a place to request breakups to Logos, but I did want to remind those that it wasn't the focus of the thread and those who elected to be e-mailed when a new post was added.
...Not wishing to stir further debate here or to be opposite of another's perspective!
