This was a strange rendering that I thought worth posting. Anyone have an idea why this is showing this way?
I'm assuming you're talking about the circles of dots. Are they there when you go to the actual book? Can you paste the "Support information" from the bottom of the information panel for the resource? Click the "i" in the top right-hand corner of the resource.
Hi Tommy.
Yes, the circles with dots. I am able to reproduce this currently on the same machine (Acer Aspire V5 122p with AMD A6-1450 Quad Core and 4 GB RAM).
However, this appears only in the search results pane. Going to the text shows no issues. And on my iMac it does not behave this way.
Windows 8 is telling me there are some updates and perhaps a restart is in order anyway. I can retry after that and get back to you on here if there are any changes. Until then, here is the support info you requested:

Thanks!
How did you go about creating the search criteria? I was able to replicate your results (without the font issue) but did it in a very unorthodox fashion. Did you switch your keyboard to Hebrew to generate the Hebrew character and then manually plug in the rest of the content? Or did you do a search from that resource?
I searched for בְּ from the resource and chose "search this resource"
By the way, just thought I should mention that there are many verses appearing with those circles after the בְּ. But I'll reboot and see what happens.
Hi Mark,
Can you try either taking away, or changing the other bible (ESV) to something else? I don't think that should be working. The English bibles use different morphology than the BHS/WIVU does. It won't even let me set up ESV as another bible for it, so I'm not sure how you even came about that.
HI Mark,
Can you change your Hebrew font in Program settings to see if a different font gives you a different result?
I have restarted and removed the ESV from the search pane. However, I am still able to produce the circles with dots
L5 allows me to add versions but it has also just given me an update of some kind and is now indexing. I'll see if anything changes after that.
Changed fonts to Ezra SIL but still the same thing.
I was, at first, unable to replicate the behavior you are seeing. I then realized I was looking at what may have been a similar word and in a different location. Once I navigated to the same word I noticed the same thing you are. I checked with some techs, and it seems it is a known display issue. Some characters are not joining correctly due to a VIsual Basic bug. http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsapps/en-US/9c95f87d-2b49-48ac-a53b-9ad6b7843af0/bug-problems-with-shaping-and-glyphs-in-syriac-and-hebrew
I can reproduce Mark's results by searching WIVU (same version) as he describes. Perhaps Vincent could comment as the lemma includes an article not present in the manuscript.
