How do I go about entering the serial key for my LS3 in LS5, which I have just downloaded?
Peace to you this morning! *smile* I'm not a "techie," however, I would have thought that when you downloaded Logos 5.0, it would simply have begun to download the resources you have purchased from Logos in the past! I think that "should" happen!
After the download of your resources "from the cloud," there is a time of indexing your resources which can take long time, even hours if you have a very large library. Then it works! I absolutely adore Logos 5. There is a "learning curve," but, it is well worth it! *smile* Blessings!
P.S. Of course you need to be connected to the internet for this to happen....
Come back to the Logos Forums and we will help you learn a whole new and wonderful world!
Peace to you, Louis! I just edited my reply to you and took out your e-mail address.
We have been advised to keep our e-mail address out of the forums to avoid personal harassment by robots crawling around the internet harvesting e-mail addresses for spamming people in the future..... Please note and consider changing your Forum Name.
BTW your forum "name" comes across as a number. There has been some Logos Forum Software problems re. this in the past; hopefully they will clear it up. You -- and I -- are persons! Not numbers! *smile*

Basically, Sync licences in L3 and sign-in to L5 with your Logos Account Id. L5 should then download the resources on your licence.
I have a laptop with Libronix 3.0g installed which has quite a lot of resources installed. I have also installed Logos 5 and created an account, but I cannot get the resources from 3 transferred into 5. I have read instructions on this forum for doing this, but they mention licenses which I do not have. Is there any way to accomplish this?
Peace, Robert! Did you sync your licenses like Dave Hooton mentions in the post before yours? If you did, your resources should be available for L5.
If you did not, and the Logos 3.0g is still running somewhere, you can still do that...
Yes, but it says that my customer ID is not found. I have all of the resources on the computer somewhere, I just can't get 5 to see them.
You have to use the Logos account/password that you used to purchase resources for Logos 3.
They're not mine, they were already on the computer. I can see the files, surely there must be a way to import them manually. As I said, I can access everything in version 3. Is 5 any better than 3 anyway?
Logos 5 is a lot better than Libronix 3. It is essentially a new program. There is no way to import the Libronix format files into Logos and have them work unless you own the licenses in your name. If you can get the previous registered owner to transfer the registration into your name then you are in business.
They're not mine,
Unless you can arrange (with Logos and/or the previous owner) to have them transferred to your account they cannot be used outside Logos 3.
Is 5 any better than 3 anyway?
Yes! See http://wiki.logos.com/Upgrade_or_Crossgrade.
