Searching in a book and finding highlighted passages on iPad app

The subject says it. I have plenty of highlighted passages in various books in my library, and I can find the highlights just fine on my PC desktop, but on the iPad app, I can't do it. Is there something you have to do first in order to find your highlights?

Also, there seems to be no way to search in a single book. You can search either in the Bible or your entire library, but in those cases you end up with way too many results.

I'm not sure exactly what you are trying to do… Your highlights are all stored in note files. Have you done any organization, or have you kept everything as the default settings? If the latter, there will be a pallet specific named file for each highlighter pallet you use. The highlights you have created using any of the highlighting styles from that pallet will be in there. Personally, I have changed the behavior and have created resource specific note files. In my case, I simply open up the note file named after the resource, and all the highlights for that resource are there.

Make sure you are doing a "basic" search.
Click the "entire library" button… this will allow you to change the range.
Your collections and recently opened resources should be in the list.

NOTE: You must open the resource first before you can search it (unless it is in a collection, or already in the list).

I'm just trying to find my highlighted notes. If I know a highlight is in a certain book, and I am in that book, I want to skip right to that highlighted text. I could not find a way to do that.

Having said that, I don't think I've done any organizing. Generally I will highlight a text, and sometimes I'll add a note to it, but that's about all I do. In the desktop software, I can see those highlights and notes in a single list.

Regarding your note files for a specific resource, are you saying you make a single note to hold all your highlights for that book?

Regarding the searching one book, I see what you mean. I have to click the button that by default says "Entire Library." That brings down the list of resources. Thanks!

You are wanting to navigate from highlight to highlight… Is that what you are asking about? In the desktop app, you can change the navigation arrows to advance from annotation to annotation. The mobile app doesn't have the same navigation arrows, so there isn't a way to move from highlight to highlight via that method. A less elegant solution is to open the note document… I will explain that in just a second.

No… I make a note document. We may be saying the same thing, but I want to make sure that you are understanding me. Here is a quick guide:

Every time you create a highlight, a corresponding note is automatically created. In Logos, a highlight = a note.
In the desktop app, the behavior for where notes/highlights are stored is changed at the pallet level in its settings.
In the mobile app, the behavior is changed app wide under the account | settings menu.
In both apps, you can choose "palette-specific," "Most Recent Note Document," or select a specific note document.
The default for both is "palette-specific." Highlight notes are stored in a note document named after the pallet.
My preference is "most recent" note document… this is what I call "sticky."
When I make my very first highlight in a resource, I create a note document named after the resource (i.e. "The Peacemaking Pastor").
When I begin my reading for a session, the first time I highlight, I make sure to select the resource-specific note file for that resource.
Since I am using the "sticky" method, every time afterwards, I don't need to worry about changing the note document until I switch resources.

To view a note document, swipe through the menu panels (either on the homepage, or in the sidebar menu) until you come to "documents." You can then open the note document itself. In my case, I open a resource specific note document… When I open "The Peacemaking Pastor" document, all of my highlight notes are there in a list. I can click on anyone to be taken to that passage. In the mobile app, you can have two panels open (side by side in landscape, or top & bottom in portrait). One panel can have the note document, while the other can have the resource in question.
