Why am I getting different background views when viewing my Library?

Does anyone know why sometimes when I tap the upper left corner to view my library it sometimes opens up with a low light background and other times normally?

I think you are seeing the library popup you get when you tap on the resource title or the white space around it as opposed to the full library screen you get when you tap on the library icon. I think the spacing there has improved over earlier versions but it is still a little smaller (vert & hz) than I like.
