Profile reminder not disappearing
In the right hand sidebar the top spot is taken by a reminder to fill out my profile. I have dutifully done this, although I have made it all private. The completion level remains stuck at 50% and the reminder remains. I don't wish to see it anymore.

Same here. I've filled in everything I want to fill in and it still reads 50%. Maybe I'll Ad-Block the div. [:P]

The completion profile widget wonkiness is an issue that we are currently investigating fixes for. We are looking at ways to make it substantially smarter/more informative.

Something changed. Now my profile reminder reads 30% complete. Weird. But it still won't go away. [:'(]

Mine's stuck at 90% now - so at least that's better than going backwards

Mine's at 40% now. Haven't changed anything.

Sorry for the confusion, we've been tweaking the calculation. Fields that are required for "completion" are now marked with an asterisk so you should be able to see what you need to fill out to make it go away.

How did you do it? I had to add dummy data to required fields I didn't want to fill out. There should just be a "don't show me this anymore" link on the reminder.
Next thing - I just tried adding a recommended link and it is not appearing in the sidebar.
The recommended link section is working for me. I dragged it to the active area and entered a link and it worked.

The link I created is now displaying. Was I wrong to expect it would appear immediately without any delay?
On the profile, I filled out absolutely everything and made it private.

Oh. And I've just realized that those links appear on your public profile. Hmmm. I was planning on using them as a favorites but maybe not now.
