I live and pastor the church in Cesky Tesin, the oldest town of the Ostrava metropolitan area in the Czech Republic. This year our church celebrated 100 years of existence and our town 1200 years since its legendary beginning. It used to be the capital of the Austrian Silesia. Our town is devided between Czech Republic and Poland, it used to be called in the past Teshen in German or Cieszyn in Polish.
You can find some more information about Silesia here and about the Teschen Silesia (The Duchy of Teshen) here.
We have become friends through the forum
Of course we are brothers and sisters in the Lord,Isn't it interesting how we are joined together as friends though the forum as well.some ask and others take time to answer questions. We have also expressed how we feel one another with the posts of Dann.If it doesn't offend any body ,I would like to know to introduce ourselves by mentioning only in which country and city we are.You know some times I find myself laughing and smiling. Before yesterday ,while I was on the phone in different times with different brothers my eyes were concentrated to the forum, and I laughed with out being aware. What I want to say is not to tell you ,what I have done what I shouldn't do,but more interesting is how I enjoy the communication with different brothers and sisters in the forum. So if you just name the country and city you live, I consider it as a valuable present.I would like to thank everybody and logos for giving us this opportunity.

I remember starting a similar thread back on the NG. Neat to see it resurrected and if there's been any changes.
I'm originally from Hot Springs, Arkansas. Now I call Demorest, GA (close to Clarkesville) my home.

Wow, I am right next to you in Kimberly, Alabama. I teach English and a course on the Bible for our local high school.
Disclaimer: I hate using messaging, texting, and email for real communication. If anything that I type to you seems like anything other than humble and respectful, then I have not done a good job typing my thoughts.
I just read through this thread too and found it quite interesting. I also realized that I did not yet post here so....I'm from Haliburton, Ontario, Canada which is about 2 1/2 hours north of Toronto and a bit to the east.
I've always appreciated how international the Logos forums are.

I went there very offten. After 1997 I lived in Mühlheim Dietsenheim ,until I moved to Frankfurt in 2001. We had weekly Bible Study in Hanau. Maybe that one doesn't count ), Cleveland TN, Louisville Ky, Long Key, Florida, Miami (Hollywood actually, but pretty close to Miami for those who haven't been there), Monroe Michigan (intern to a church planter there in 2002 - Anchor Baptist Church, and Monroe Missionary Baptist Church), Gonaives Haiti, Newwark NJ, New York, though I spend most of the year in Hudson, Florida (near Clearwater).
I've been a student, worked in youth ministry, then a missionary, then pastor, and currently a student desiring a return to the field.
L2 lvl4 (...) WORDsearch, all the way through L10,
I live in the Glendale, Arizona in the greater Phoenix area. I got started with Logos 3 when my son started at Phoenix Seminary. He surveyed the various Bible study software packages available in 1999 and concluded that Logos was the best. I bought a Scholars package for him and a Leaders package for myself.
I participate in a Phoenix Logos Users Group (PLUG) which holds meetings about once a month for the last year and a half. Our next meeting will be just after the final round of the Logos March Madness Sale so that we can compare notes and glean through the book choices together. Last year I invited my pastor and he had great suggestions. Otherwise, I would have never chosen Carson's "Gagging of God" based on the title. This year I'm trying to get one of the faculty of Phoenix Seminary to help us.
These forums have been a great help; especially for ideas on organizing notes. I also learned about mind mapping software from the forums.
Hi everyone, I live in Davison, Michigan (about an hour north of Detroit) where I pastor Trinity Lutheran Church (LCMS). Previously, I have served congregations in northern Wisconsin, the U.P. of Michigan (I'm a "Yooper" by birth), and in the Downriver area of metro Detroit.
I started using Logos shortly after I graduated from sem in 1990's. I've been learning much through these forums - especially the fact that I have much to learn.[;)] I just wanted to say 'thanx' to all who are sharing their knowledge and experience here, really appreciate what I've learned so far.

Anthony, Southwest MO, USA. I will be 25 this summer, working in IT 5+ years for a small business providing network service/support for other local businesses/banks. The next couple years are optimistically open and uncertain as I wait for my girlfriend to finish college, in which we can hopefully map out the next steps of life together. Although there are other possibilities on our list, Logos has definitely been on the map for possible career moves...[:D][:D][:D]
I am still a newbie to Logos though I've owned it a little over a year; my inconsistency to study reflects with my spiritual walk, I'm sure common to many. Hopefully as I continue to grow and mature I will be blessed through the many avenues this software makes available! Glad to be a part of this community, it is both helpful and enjoyable. [:)]

Your honest is refreshing.

Yes, continue to grow and increase in your passion to know the Lord. This is my prayer for myself that I may grow closer to Jesus each day.
Glad to be a part of this community, it is both helpful and enjoyable.
It is good to have you here and I hope you become a regular contributor. There is so much to learn here about how to maximize the potential of using Logos.
Blessings Anthony!

I live in Atlanta, Ga. Originally, I'm from East Tn. I love the forums, because rarely a day goes by that I do not learn something or receive something from the forums. It amazes me that as long as I have been using Logos now (still a short time compared to most on here), I still find useful shortcuts and new ways of doing things faster. In the beginning, I asked a ton of questions. Thanks to everyone who helped me learn. I'm hoping to transition to a useful knowledgeable person who can help newer people learn to use the software.
I love interacting with brothers and sisters from all over the world. And while I love to talk about the software, I'm hoping that I will get involved in a Faithlife group and have the same level of interaction but with a focus on theology and the Bible itself. I've just joined a group going through Mounce's Basics of Biblical Greek and I'm very excited about it.
I'm not sure what the future holds for me, so I'm trying to trust God and take each day one step at a time. I've been in ministry for 20 years now. I pastor a church and am finishing a doctorate in preaching. I'm hoping to teach in some capacity some day, but I'm trusting the Lord to use me as he desires.
I read the thread so I know that Tes said to just give location, but after reading everyone's personal information... "Monkey see, Monkey do." [:)]
God bless you all
After 35 years in Alaska my wife and I moved here to Bellingham, WA, about ten years ago. No I am not associated with Logos other than being a happy user of their products. I do have the privilege of knowing a few of the Logos people though and that has been a blessing to me. I browse the forums quite a bit and am able to learn a lot that way.

Bellingham WA, that's where Logos is based correct? Seems like a beautiful town through internet pictures. I thought I read somewhere there is a yearly (?) run into a freezing cold lake? or ocean? Have you ever done that?
I am the worst fan of cold weather unfortunately.

Yes Logos is in downtown Bellingham and it is a beautiful area. I have heard about the run but don't really know much about it. We had enough cold in Alaska so I don't think I will be doing the run into freezing water anytime soon. [:)]
