Hey guys,
In a few weeks I'll be preaching on Mark 2, specifically where Jesus heals a paralytic man. I have been googling and using Logos, but I can't find too much information available regarding medical practices in the 1st century.
SPECIFICALLY, I want to know:
1.) How would they have treated someone who was paralyzed
2.) How long would a paralyzed person be expected to live
3.) What would the man have looked like? What would have it been like to be paralyzed in that time.
Any help answering these questions or suggested resources would be MASSIVELY appreciated.
