Suggestion: Verbum, Catholic products forum(s)

How about a Verbum forum for that app interface?

And a forum for Catholic products/interests?

It could be one forum or two.

Thanks and God bless.

Hi kentuckyliz - and welcome to the forums.

How about a Verbum forum for that app interface?

This was discussed at the end of last year - http://community.logos.com/forums/p/59852/425852.aspx - and the general opinion expressed was that this wouldn't be helpful / wasn't necessary.

In what ways would you find it useful?

general opinion expressed was that this wouldn't be helpful / wasn't necessary.

If that is so true what do we have:

I am not saying it necessary but it does almost feel like a slap in the face when you have all these other sub forums for the discussion of doctoral products of various groups. When Logos makes specific packages for Catholic people and yet have no sub forum to discuss them.

It makes sense not to have a Verbum specific forum because that one already exists: Logos 5 sub-forum.

As for product suggestions, yes it makes sense. However, it's six of one half a dozen of the other for me. It helps if Andrew or Alex (or someone else) frequents and participates in the Suggestions forums more often [;)] like Gabe. But I'm not complaining, just joking, because it's really not direly needed! I find that the Catholic products being offered are excellent and while there is LOT of room to grow, the current pace is very promising. The current common Suggestions forum already has tons of Catholic product suggestions in it; we don't need to start from scratch.

At that time the discussion was that there were very few differences between Logos 5 and Verbum [the topics were how to run the program]

Now the topic is what books and other Verbum only topic

Yes, we now need a Verbum section just like Orthodox, SDA etc.

And they need blogs etc just like Verbum. [and all MUST be noted on Logos.com home page!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...!!!]

we don't need to start from scratch.

No, we do not need to start from scratch - we need to build on what exists.  NOW is the time to start a Verbum section on the forum.

imho we need ALL of the subgroups equal.  Adding Baptists Jews, Mormons and what ever as needed.

Group Forum, Group Blog, Group Home page, Group Basic Collections. [[And all with links from Logos.com Home Page

I am not saying it necessary but it does almost feel like a slap in the face

I choose to interpret it as "Catholics are catholic - it's all ours"[:P]

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Admittedly I am just arguing for others since I am Anglican.

I choose to interpret it as "Catholics are catholic - it's all ours"Stick out tongue

I would tend to agree really...

    Anabaptists/Mennonite! (A base-package and somewhere to look for coupon-codes!):

That was then. Now that so many other denominations have forums, there is absolutely no reason Catholics shouldn't have one as well. In fact, a number of other people have asked for it lately (amusingly, most of them not Catholic), and both Gabe and Ben has had to deal with a number of suggestions that more fittingly should have gone to a Catholic forum (since they actively respond, many of us try to find whatever excuse we can to post Catholic suggestions in their forums[:)]).

It would also be helpful for posting product page errors and other things that [hopefully] would be fixed much faster if put directly into the hands of a Catholic employee, rather than disappearing somewhere between 2-3-4 different chairs.

So I for one definitely want a Catholic forum at this point. It's been a very positive experience to be able to post and actually count on a response. And with these other forums appearing first, it's not like our 'old friends' can come back and make a fuss without looking pretty silly.[:)]

I further thing to add is that occasionally in open forums catholic suggestions have occasionally been met with less than a loving Christian response. Now I realize that people have a difference of opinion and I hate to see when people get into a doctrinal debate contrary to forum guidelines, but if a catholic forum was here, there would be little for people to complain against. I personally am far more offended theological by other positions than catholic but this is neither the time no the place.

Please see http://community.logos.com/forums/p/74155/517734.aspx#517734 and post there

[[it is on the suggestion forum - this one was started in general  to gain support.]]
