Logos.com: comparison chart: please provide links from resource titles to descriptions of them

When perusing the comparison chart, a person might want to look up what some of the unfamiliar books are before deciding which of the packages is right for them. You should provide links from each of the titles to a description (equivalent to the info panel in Logos) of what each title is.

For v3, we had the ability to see more information by simply hovering over the title. I', not sure why this hasn't been implemented for v4. It was very helpful.

I do agree that every title should also be a link.

Yes, I also was surprised finding that the new L4 packages do not have that. It would really help to decide what package to buy. Just few days ago my son wanted to upgrade and I had to explain to him many titles, before he decided what to do. I think eventually we will see it back in the Comparison Page.

What I did was select, right click, google and in 90% of cases logos.com was the first link. Laborious but effective.

What I do is select, copy, and paste into the Search box at the top of the Logos website. But it doesn't find all books, only ones that can be purchased individually outside of collections. There are a lot of ones that come with one or the other of the collections and are not sold individually which you cannot look up this way.

I have found google searches more effective than logos.com searches for finding books on logos.com. What browser are you using? Can you just right click and search with google?

Yes, I can do a Google search by selecting and clicking on the little Accelerator icon in IE8, and choosing "Search with Google." But unlike you I don't find that more effective at finding books on logos.com. For example, I just tried it on "Holman Christian Standard Bible" and logos.com was the 20th hit. But searching directly from the logos.com Search box found it as the first hit. Also, doing the right-click Google search opens up another browser tab, so things can get cluttered pretty quickly if you're looking up a lot of books. Finally, the right-click Google search doesn't allow me to use the full power of Google's search capabilities (using "-" to exclude certain words, for example), so it's no better than searching in logos.com's search box.

Usually I do prefer Google for searching, though. In fact it's usually superior for finding things on this very forum. I use it for everything, even looking up things on Wikipedia (I just add "wikipedia" among the search terms) instead of going to Wikipedia first and searching there. I have Google as my home page in my browser, and it probably makes up 25 - 50% of my browser history.

You should search for site:logos.com keyword in Google.

Then you get results like this.

Thanks, Mark (and Phil later). I'm an extreme power Google user and I use the site: filter all the time. But as I pointed out, "the right-click Google search doesn't allow me to use the full power of Google's search capabilities." It just does a basic Google search:

I'd have to go off to Google first and then type in the site: filter. I don't see a need to go off to Google to search for results in a site that already has a search function built in which is working just fine for me. I was simply asking for Logos to add links to save me what I can do in two steps which you were suggesting how I could do in three steps. Thanks for the tip, though.

Likewise wish comparison chart resource title linked to Logos resource web page - e.g. Beginning Biblical Hebrew (in a browser, could right click link - open in a new tab or window - much quicker than searching Logos web site hoping to find corresponding resource description)
