What would it take to get the M'Cheyne reading plan in Logos4? I have the PBB version but of course Logos4 doesn't read PBBs yet.
I dont' see why it couldn't be created as a lectionary but someone at Logos would have to do it...
4-6 months [:)]
I know, you knew that, I just couldn't resist. The D made me do it.
Chris
I would like to read for the next year to read Bible in a chronological order (this year I am finishing the ESV Study Bible Reading Plan). Is there any way we can do custom reading plans for the Bible in L4?
Not yet Bohuslav.
I have been using a modified M'Cheyne plan in L3. (I misspelled the gentleman's name in another post; sorry, Bobby). It works OK and the same thing can be done in L4 (although divided up differently than L3). It's modified because the way the software divides it up doesn't always break at neat chapters like the manual reading plan. This isn't an issue if you aren't doing this as part of a group, but alas, group participation is one of the points of his reading plan.
I'm at lunch now, but I'll check here at home tonight and if anyone is interested in the passage string, I'll post it.
I do believe custom plan can be done in V4
Make a New Reading Plan
Click on the "All Passages" link and type or insert the passages or books separated by semicolons
Choose other settings as desired and click GO!
Here is a chronological plan (not M'Cheyne) that I set up this past year, the text can be copied an pasted into the Range field...

I'd be interested in having it, Robert.
Thanks
I too would love to have this as a Bible Reading Plan and have suggested it on this forum some months ago, especially if it could be linked into Carson's Love of God Collection. Does anyone know of anyone else who has written a daily commentary to the M.Cheyene Reading Plan, as it would be good to have a 'follow on' to Carson.
Trey, it's perfect. Thank you so much. It really works. Good job.
I'm not aware of any commentaries designed to be used with this reading plan. It's a neat idea though. One of us should write one. Let's start another Google Wave group and write a companion M'Cheyne commentary.
I'd be interested in having it, Robert. Thanks
Chris:
Here's the string:
Genesis-2 Chronicles | Matthew-John; Psalm; Acts-Revelation | Ezra-Job; Proverbs-Malachi | Acts-Revelation; Matthew-Mark; Psalm; Luke-John
In L4, paste the above string in the Reference Range box. If you name it, you can use it again the next year. The vertical line separates the 4 sections of passages to be read each day. As I indicated, it is a fairly decent approximation of the M'Cheyne plan; OT once, NT twice, Psalms twice. The plan it generates in L4 seems to do less chapter-splitting than in L3. In L3 the Psalms, for example, tended to be split across days, even when the "break at chapter" preference was selected.
Hope this is helpful.
glad to help
I have started a wiki page for reading plans and I posted both of the two lists from this page. Please take a look, verify them, and add some more!

Thanks, Trey! Got that to work. Exactly what I was looking for. Appreciate the help. [8-|]
