First of all, let me say that I have read this entire thread (http://community.logos.com/forums/p/51986/382057.aspx#382057), but chose to post here, since that thread is several years old.
I have been a Windows user since Windows 3.0 (at that time, I actually preferred DOS). I have used Logos on Windows-based machines since 1995. I just bought my very first Mac, a used MacBook Pro Core Duo. I upgraded the RAM to 16GB, even though Apple says that machine can only run 8GB. I added a 1 TB hard drive. I got Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac, and THEN . . . did I discover that hyperlinks to Logos resources do not work as they did on Windows machines (the subject of the above-linked thread).
Discovering that was a MAJOR LETDOWN. So, back to to drawing board. I found out that the Impress application that is part of LibreOffice does not change the links, so, I took my pptx for Friday's class, and converted it backwards to ppt, imported it into LibreOffice, and the links worked. However, when I was presenting in class, during an Impress presentation, I cannot find my cursor on the presentation page, in order to click the link.
So . . . I thought I would ask the forum users this. I have Parallels Desktop 8 installed, and use some Windows apps. Does anyone know that if I install the Office 365 Word and PowerPoint as Windows apps to run under Parallels, if I will be able to keep using hyperlinks to different resources within Logos.
I'll try to include some screen captures that illustrate what I want to do (by the way, I'm writing this on one of my Windows-based computers, but since I got the MacBook Pro, I really want to make that my "take-to-class-for-presentations" machine.
I was talking about the Documentary Hypothesis, and wanted to link to Beyer & Arnold's Encountering the Old Testament. (see attached images)
