How to Create a Bible Study with Logos 5

Hello,

I was wondering if you could help me with making a Bible Study using Logos 5. I'm still trying to get familiar with all the dizzying array of options and tools with Logos 5.

1. Simple, Short Bible Study with Applications for Sunday Morning, maybe 30-40 min

2. Longer, deeper Bible Study with Applications for Weekly Bible Study, maybe 1 hr to 2 hr

3. Easy English Bible Study with Applications for International Students and Adults, maybe 30-40 min

If you have any ideas or suggestions I would highly appreciate them.

You could try looking up themes in the Topic Guide (available from the Guides menu) and building some ideas from there

John, a good an simple way to start is the one Logos provides: type a scripture reference or topic in the GO box on the Home Page and hit Enter.

There are more video tutorials for Logos 4 than Logos 5 but most of them are still useful (as they do miss some of Logos 5's functions, but have many of them). A list is found here: http://wiki.logos.com/Logos_4_Video_Tutorials

Of those, Joe Miller has done a series on intensively using Logos for sermon preparation; the first few steps of which would apply to any Bible Study.

You might tell us a couple more things: what base package or resources do you have, and how have you been preparing Bible Studies up until this time?

For a more philosophical approach to studying the Bible, I find Dr. Joe MIller's videos on YouTube to be a great resource for this. He uses Logos and teaches and preaches.

Yes, Wiersbe is a good option! I'm right now trying to buy a used copy of a small Logos 3 base-package that contains 11 Wiersbe BE-series OT volumes. Believer's Church Bible Commentary Proverbs is also good if You want to focus on that book of the Bible!
Regarding Philippians I think I'm choosing Black's and the commentary I review in Here's another review: I... and regarding Jude Pillar (PNTC), Sheffield New Testament Guides: 2 Peter and Jude and Catholic Commentary on Sacred Scripture; to discuss those books of the Bible with (a) friend/friends. (Additionally I'm going to discuss Sirach some time later on, but I'm going to wait years to find something to buy.) But some of those might be too advanced for Your purposes!
