We want to create the best products we possibly can, and we'd like to know: what features, resources or programs do you love about L3 that are causing you to balk at upgrading to Logos 5?
This thread has some good responses (if you haven't seen it already): "Denise and others, why do you stick with Libronix (L3) and not upgrade to L5?" http://community.logos.com/forums/t/74701.aspx
Thank you, Bradley. I'd overlooked it.
I wanted to know the answer to this question as well and that is why I started this thread. There is a lot of good information in it. It would be great if future versions of Logos would make it more appealing for L3 users to upgrade. I'd also like to hear what you guys think of the reasons given by current L3 users.
There is also this older thread http://community.logos.com/forums/t/46104.aspx with some insights (Bob was active in it).
Since I started my Logos-life with L4, run L5 now and never really got used to L3, I may not be the right person to answer this thread - however, I do have L3 installed and read around, so maybe I can contribute some aspects:
That we had control of when Licences were checked with Logos. Some are paranoid in that they trust no one. We have no problems with the current ownership of Logos. But all it would take is a one minute [or less] update to wipe our licence file and just a little longer to wipe all of our resource files. With L3 we had a local backup of our licence file and could also backup all the resource files. AND, as one stated, we can re-install L3 with out contacting Logos.
When FB's setting standards for 'Christian businesses' (which everyone agrees is synonymous with 'businesses') then yes, paranoid-ity makes sense.
$20 for your Faith-something picture? I can't imagine Libronix execs ever doing some such.
L3 is the most important thing that ever happened in my life. That's not hyperbole. Nevertheless, after begging and pleading with Logos to give me a reason to comfortably say good-bye to L3 in favor of a program with a future, I have to say I'm rather worn down and numb. I presented on a number of occasions a list of about 6-8 things that I literally require in order to lay L3 to rest, only to have Bob line up my hopes and wishes one-by-one and effectively double-tap them in the back of the head for reasons I consider to be rather random. I don't have the strength to resurrect those hopes; I've resigned myself to the status quo.
