Do you use any other software besides Logos?
I was given a link to Wordsearch Bible and thought it looked pretty neat. Haven't download it yet..
I'm just curious, do you use any other "bible" software?

I have purposefully chosen to limit my digital resources to exclusively Logos (other than a few PDF documents). Even though there are resources that I would really like Logos to carry I choose to be patient to wait for Logos to produce them. In the meantime I am quite satisfied.

I say Logos should be the pioneer to be first to have a build in Mobi & Epub converter.. (pdf is bad)

Gave up QuickVerse years ago when I began using Logos.
Of course, Logos is more than Bible software: it's a library of electronic books as well. When I can't get something in Logos, I have been known to buy it and use it in the Kindle app on my PC and phone.

I have adopted the same policy as Bruce and am happy with the way it is going.

I had been using all kind of Bible software years ago (QuickVerse, Theophilos, Davar, eSword, WordSearch etc.) Since Logos 4 and full functional PB Bibles (that was not the case of Libronix PBB Bibles) I use just Logos on various platforms. Occasionally I buy a book on Kindle if not available in Logos/Vyrso.

For commentaries I use Logos5.
For my Greek / Hebrew studies I use Accordance 10 and sometimes Logos5. Logos5 is not so fast with searches. Sometimes Bibleworks (with Crossover, as I am on a Mac).

I use Logos for most things. I wouldn't be using this much if there wouldn't be good chances to return items. If a book is not in Logos/Vyrso I either don't buy it, or buy it as printed matter. Several of my Bibles are duplicated in Logos and as printed matter. Usually I buy only the New Testament.
I don't have the L5 Minimal Crossgrade nor do I wish I would have bought it when the price was lower.
My areas of interest are things like NT-studies, especially Paul, languages (Gk, a little bit of Latin - a dictionary was included in the Original Languages Library), encyclopedic and dictionary information, Church history, "Gnosticism". I also have my commentaries in Logos.Yesterday I got home a book about Paul. It's in Logos too, but was cheap as printed matter.
Sometimes I'm also comparing different Bible versions and read about issues, especially in the NT and Isaiah, later on also in Sirach. I try to do this in Logos but I have good possibilities to do it with printed matter too, I'll note an exception:
As far as I know I can't study "Gnosticism" in Logos. I'll see if there's anything in: Oxford History of the Christian Church (16 vols.).
When it comes to Bible dictionaries I have been waiting for some time for the New Interpreter's Dictionary of the Bible to arrive by postal mail. Praying that it will arrive from Cokesbury!
I have extremely few systematic theologies, I think I have just 1½ as printed matter and none in Logos (not sure if any was included in the L5 base-package). I use the ones I have but will most probably never be buying any additional ones!
I don't use plain ordinary commentaries all the time and I don't afford owning one on every book of the Bible. I have Hermeneia/Continental. And a couple of ICC volumes of which one is in Logos (the other is on Is 44:24-55:13 as printed matter, bought on January 2. 2013). These I don't classify as plain ordinary, Hermeneia for example contains more history of interpretation and ICC has more of the original languages than most other commentaries.
Except Hermeneia, I do most of my NT textual work outside Logos: with resources such as the Comprehensive Bible/New Testament and comparing printed NT versions to see if there is a consensus, at the same time when I work through other issues and the English.
The other Bible Study software I have is Accordance 10. I'm a Windows 7 64-bit user. I have UBS Handbooks New Testament in it - got it cheap used, plus Revised English Bible (which I have also in Logos and the Apocrypha and a NT as printed matter too), Comprehensive Crossreferences Bible 2011 Edition (can be used for textual work in the NT, I have the NT as printed matter too 2008 Edition), New English Translation of the Septuagint (have as printed matter too), and the Syntax-module (for the Gk NT). The latter two are not available in Logos.
But I haven't bought the Greek New Testament in Accordance yet. I'll study a bit before I buy it. I'll be doing Syntax-searches and some of the Gk studies in the General Epistles in Accordance NA28 and whatever other part of the NT that has been revised in NA29. But I have all my Gk tools in Logos and won't try to duplicate them in Accordance (a couple of them are missing in the Accordance store: LSJ 1996 Supplement, Exegetical Dictionary of the New Testament (3 vols.) come to mind).
There were Accordance seminars here in Sweden in April 2013, and I went to Gothenburg to attend it. It was really fun. Bought a manual there which is only being sold at the Accordance seminars. When it comes to Logos instruction material I have a pre-pub order for:

My favorite Logos feature is visual filter highlighting that combines hundreds of searches for simultaneous display so can "see" range of verbal expression:

Have not seen visual filter highlighting in any other Bible software so only use Logos.

I didn't know Logos had quite a bit on gnosis:

I'd give decent odds that Logos has the gnostic-ers market hands down.
Don't forget http://www.logos.com/product/34030/a-history-of-the-christian-church for $6 closing Friday next.

Besides the search links posted above, have you seen the Gnostic & Apocryphal Studies Collection (10 vols.)? I know it is quite expensive, but it was on sale not long ago for about half, so I bet a sales rep could do something better than the regular price. I think it is also part of the capstone collection, which you can get for close to the cost of the set.

As far as I am aware Logos [although now working with Zondervan] still does NOT have the NIV Study notes.
Therefore I still use a [now extinct] copy of "Pradis" in order to access those NIV Study notes on my computer.

Some months ago I looked through with the search terms what Logos offers, and there's NOTHING that meets my requirements. So unless You have any newly listed pre-pubs to tell me about ...
Yes I saw the discount and passed on it:

Capstone is both really expensive and worthless:Joseph Turner said:I think it is also part of the capstone collection, which you can get for close to the cost of the set.
EDIT: to return to the topic: soon I'm adding the Pillar New Testament Commentary volume on 2 Pt Jude in Accordance. I'll use it for Jude, to discuss with a friend.Disclosure!

Do you return a lot of items? [6]

It varies. Sometimes I have returned a lot, for various reasons. But I've also spent a lot considering what my finances look like, sometimes even for the regular price. So all in all I haven't returned a high percentage of my purchases. On some occasions, especially when it comes to commentaries, I returned items because the regular price had been lowered or a larger bundle was on a sale and I bought it for the new regular price, or the whole bundle. Items bought used can't be returned and I buy somewhat much used:

I typically find myself reading almost the whole book, and finally concluding on the final page, it was all a big mistake and a refund is in order.[6]
I wonder if Mother Logos monitors that? (Most of my refunds occur when Logos prints the receipt; no L3 version.)
