Cannot update Logos 5 without re-installing every time

I've been having the problem for a while and want to know if there's a way around it.

The only way I can seem to update Logos 5 is to download the Logos 5 setup for Windows and "Run as Adminstrator" to install on top of my existing version. Everything comes back up OK but it is tedious to have to download the entire Setup every time. When an update is available, it asks me if I would like to install the update but when I click Yes, nothing happens and I'm forced each time to download and re-install Logos 5.

Is there a way I can fix this problem once and for all?

Otherwise Please enable Logging (http://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging ).Replicate the problem. You will have to wait till the next update I guess.

Then upload your logs ( http://wiki.logos.com/Uploading_Logs ) so we can take a look.

Thanks. That was the problem. In my case, it was not the folder but files therein which had Adminstrators as the owner.

This is what can happen when you install Logos with "run as administrator", so avoid its use (Logos will let you know if it requires Admin elevation/privileges).

I'm aware of that problem. The issue is that I had no choice in the matter because so many files in the Logos4 directory were owned by Adminstrators.

Unfortunately, Windows 8 doesn't allow one to change file ownership en masse. I had so many files that were owned by the Adminstrator that I ended up just uninstalling Logos 5, deleting the old directory, and starting over.

It wasn't how I wanted to fix it but the time to reinstall was much less than manually changing ownership of so many files/folders.
