Search for authors on Logos website doesn't work as expected
In Logos, I can search for my books by Eugene Peterson using this filter: author:"eugene peterson"
I tried author:peterson on logos.com and there were too many books by other people with the last name Peterson. So I wanted to narrow it down to just books by Eugene, and I tried what I thought should work, the same thing that works in Logos, author:"eugene peterson". It came up with nothing.
It turns out I needed to put the author name as last, first: author:"peterson, eugene" and then it worked. This is not intuitive, and not user friendly.
Please put in the smarts to have it work like it does in Logos.

Coincidentally I had the same issue maybe 2-3 weeks ago. But I couldn't figure it out ( so I googled him).

I may be missing something here since I am not an experienced user of Logos yet. I did not understand your post so I tried copying your text "eugene peterson" and doing the search of the site. Got 39 results. Very nicely found things that were eugene peterson and added the H. for me. Then I noticed the "author:" in front of the name which I did not copy and paste. Why did you type that in and not just search for the name eugene peterson?

I wanted to find books where the author is Eugene Peterson. The search for his name in quotes would find every book description that mentioned his name at all, which would include books he had given a blurb recommending. Since EP is widely sought out for his blurbs (and so is J.I. Packer) the narrower search will return only the books I was looking for. To have to wade through 39 books for the ones that are actually by him is not my idea of fun.
I also sometimes search for publisher:XXXX
NOTE: I just realized that filters don't work at all on the Logos website. I've been mistaken all these years. All it does is construct a search that includes the word "author" in it and "peterson, eugene". Duh. It didn't even find all the books by him. But when I searched for "peterson, eugene" it did.
So maybe I should reword this as a request for a filter to search by author using that filter system (like what's in the Logos app) which would create the appropriate URL to find precisely and only the books by that author (i.e., http://www.logos.com/products/search?Author=Peterson%2C%20Eugene%20H.).

Incidentally, I am still waiting for a way to get to the www.logos.com/products/authors and www.logos.com/products/publishers pages through the website UI. When is that coming? It was promised a long, long time ago. Expanding the Author or Publisher sections on the left hand side of the Products main page by clicking "More" should get there, but it only expands the list to a tiny selection of all the authors.
See, the following is only a fraction of the authors Logos carries, and a very slanted list at that. You should really lead people to the page where they can browse through all of them.
