Hi

I'd like to buy two copies of the NIV 1984 download; one for me and one to send to a friend. Is this possible?

1. Why does the NIV still appear to be for sale if it's been removed (do you know)?
2. Can I buy two copies of the NIV 2011 download, one to send to a friend (both iPhone)?

1. I believe the NIV 2011 is available for sale only to customers whose accounts are registered in the US and Canada. See the note in the resources listing here: https://www.logos.com/product/8787/new-international-version If you're based outside the US / Canada, you can still buy the NIV Anglicised Version, which is based on the NIV 1984 text. You can buy it here: https://www.logos.com/product/29979/the-holy-bible-new-international-version-anglicised It's likely these geographic restrictions originate with the publishers. I'm sure Logos would love to sell both of these Bibles to customers all over the world!

2. Your friend will have to have their own Logos account in order to be able to access any copy of the NIV you buy for them. Get them to set up a Logos account (if they haven't already done so), ask them to confirm to you the email address they used on their Logos account, then call Logos sales. They should be able to sell you a copy of the NIV for your Logos account, and a copy of the NIV for your friend's account.

The "NIV," at least in the US, refers to the NIV11, per the publishers request. I do not see the American English NIV84 available anywhere on the Logos site. I have it in my wish list from when it WAS available, but clicking on it takes me to a generic "Oops, we don't carry this resource" page. As Paul wrote, the Anglicized NIV84 is available. I believe that it is available to everyone, whereas the NIV11 is only available in North America.

You can't buy one to "send to a friend," but you can buy one for your friend. There is nothing to "send." You will need to work with your friend to establish an account for them at Logos. It would be best to call Logos directly and explain clearly what you want to do. If you are trying to surprise someone, Logos might have some suggestions... But I'd be careful about that. Your friend will need to have an email address, which will get emailed once the purchase is made.

Also, to clarify, Logos has a "one license, all device" philosophy. Not all resources are "mobile enabled," but Logos does not sell separate licenses for an iPhone, Mac, iPad, android, windows, etc. When you purchase a license, it is ALWAYS available from within the desktop L5 app (windows & Mac). Most of the time, but not always, it is also mobile and/or biblia.com enabled. The NIV11 is mobile enabled and you will have access to it on ALL of the platforms I mentioned.
