Notes on iphone

Will the notes on the iphone, function as the notes in the ipad? It would seem that to link the note to the original text would be the most logical function of a note, why would this not be employed? maybe it is my ignorance as to the complexity of the application but is not this the basic object of the software in the first place to locate and connect information via links? I am not wanting to sound nasty just confused as to why such a logical and seeming simple function has been so poorly executed.

Hi Larry.  I'm sorry, I don't fully understand your question.  The notes attached to any given resource should sync between your iPhone and iPad. Therefore, you should be able to create a note on your iPhone and read it in the same resource on your iPad (and vice-versa).  Is this not happening for you?

The same should be true of highlights too.

If your notes are not syncing between your different iOS devices, have you checked that you are using the same username and password on both devices?

The issue is you can not read the note unless your are editing the note.

Hi Paul, I would like to tap say a bible reference in the note and go to the bible text say in my preferred bible. but all I get is the edit notes which would be fine except lots of my notes where made on my computer and they don't really display in a way that is functional. I would think that a really simple solution would be to have the note function as they do on all the other Logos applications ie. computer and tablet. Obviously Logos agrees or they would not have implemented notes as they do on the other devices. So the question is when and/or if they are going to change this on the iphone? if they are not, why not?

    Hi Larry,

There is an existing inquiry case for this one.

So the question is when and/or if they are going to change this on the iphone?

I don't know the answer to either question.  If this feature gets added you'll know it from the release notes after the app is released; we don't make forward looking statements since things can change quickly and I don't want to end up inadvertently making false statements because a priority or schedule got adjusted.
