Likely you don't have a font that displays Samaritan installed on your computer.
If you Google 'SBL Samaritan font' (SBL is Society for Biblical Literature), you will find several sites that offer free fonts that display Samaritan characters. I am not versed enough to know which is good to use, or preferred though. Maybe someone else can help.
Martin, I can confirm that mine looks as yours does, with the squares in lieu of characters, but I don't know what font should be displaying these Samaritan characters to tell if it's a bug or a missing font. So it looks the same for me, I'll wait too, and hear what others say.
Thank you for reporting this. This is caused by a bug at our end. I'm looking into possible (including temporary) solutions.
I will post those here when a solution has been finalized. Thanks for you patience and I apologize for the inconvenience.
Martin--I apologize for my delay in getting back to you. I've found one possible short-cut that might work for you. If you are able to install the samaritan.ttf font locally on your machine you might some success. It should be easy (and free) on the internet. I'm sorry it's not a more elegant solution but I'd like to get you up and running.
Drat. I'm sorry to hear that Martin.
Back to the drawing board. I'll keep you posted and thanks for your patience.
I was going to pop in to tell you this is still under construction and it's still being worked on but you bumped me a week ago. Sorry about that.
Short story: we've run into font problems with not very good solutions. I've got a couple of solutions being worked out but none of them are satisfactory at the moment.
Why do you bump things on weekends when most Logos employees are out of the office, and the threads will have been buried again long before they're back? You're far more likely to get a response on a weekday.
