On my mac after the recent update, I have a logos icon in my task bar that says indexing when I click on it. It is not progressing. Is there an easy way to help the process reboot or get started?

Well, we must admit that restart is not really a standard troubleshooting procedure for the Mac OS. Perhaps this is part of full parity between Logos for Windows and Logos for Mac [;)]
