Why Don't Special Events Show on The Calendar
We like the optimization and robustness of the special event creator. However, these events don't show up on the group calendar (unless I'm missing something). That makes it really confusing.
Am I missing something?

You can add a group affiliation to an event in the event's settings page. It looks like you've uncovered a bug: "Add to calendar" -> "New special event" should create an event that's automatically affiliated with your group. It looks like it is not automatically affiliated right now. We'll get on a fix.
Thanks for the report!

Patrick, thanks for the help. As I mentioned in the other thread that I started, our church does not show up in the group affiliation search.
Sorry for posting twice to two threads that - well - have the same thread.

This seems to be broken again...
Events - linked to our group - are not showing up in the calendar. Would love a fix for this, please.

Hi Jamie, I'm looking into this. Can you provide me with a little bit of information?
- Are you an admin of the group that you're wanting to affiliate the event with?
- If you're at liberty to say, what is the the name of the group and event that you are having issues with?
Thanks!

Ian:
Yes, I'm an admin of The Church in DeKalb. The event that I've affiliated with our main level group is Christmas Gala at The Church in DeKalb.
Also, why are the events duplicating under the calendar on the left nav panel?
