A Body of Practical Divinity by John Gill would be a good systematic theology to have in LOGOS format
Thanks

Just so you know, you can get it in PBB format from stilltruth.com, but without pagination, etc. That format will only work in Logos 3 currently.
Thanks the website must be down... Not having John Gill in Logos is a GLARING omission, we have modern pseudo baptists like John Piper but not Gill?
I don't see how taking cheap shots at Dr Piper helps your case any.

I applaud Logos for publishing Pannenberg and Barth. I wish they would also publish Tillich and Brunner. Systematics isn't my field or I'm sure I could come up with others as well, but Gill is old and moldy. Perhaps he's good for historical reasons, but that's about all.
Having John Gill's Body of Practical Divinity and Commentary would be great! I have it with my Online Bible and in a PBB in Logos 3.
I second the Gill suggestion....mold and all... [Y]
I "third" it! In fact I find Gill refreshing after reading some of the more popular, modern, commentaries today. I have Gill on Logos 3 in PBB format and also on another free Bible program that I use quite a bit.

Put me on the Gill list also... [I]
I'd like to see the Ford Lewis Battles translation of Calvin's Institutes, edited by John T. McNeill. The apparatus in it is outstanding, superior to that of the Beveridge translation which Logos has. And I think the translation is supposed to be a better one, too. We used the McNeill edition in my seminar on the Institutes, taught by J.I. Packer. On the other hand, there are probably other priorities they should work on, since they've already got a translation of Calvin, which is better than none.
George, I agree Gill is old and moldy, so let's clean it up and put it in Logos format. A lot of people think the same of the Bible.
Michael,
Gill is coming very soon. Keep an eye on the Pre-Pub page.
Blessings, Phil
Gill is coming very soon.

Are you TRYING to cause problems? [:S]
I think of Romans, Hebrews, Ephesians... as inspired systematic theologies.
Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Are you TRYING to cause problems?
Of course I am! [:D]
Phil, How soon is very soon for John Gill? There have been probably 20 new pre-pubs since your reply? Thanks again! Michael Lyman

Just adding an Amen to this suggestion!
Ja, ja ! This is the translation we used in the required Calvinism course at Calvin College.

Reformed Girl, this product is now in Pre-Pub. http://www.logos.com/product/16036/institutes-of-the-christian-religion
She wasn't asking for Calvin, but for Gill. But you're still partially right, as he too is available for order: http://www.logos.com/product/8514/the-works-of-john-gill.
Gill? There's something fishy about that. [:D]
Thanks for pointing that out.
