Fresh Install Logos 5 with Fresh Install Of Mavericks

I have tried a number of times to install a fresh copy of Logos 5 onto a fresh copy of Mavericks. Logos 5 installs fine and runs as long as I do not fill in my information and work offline. As soon as I fill in the appropriate information the window "Preparing to download... This may take a while..." appears and it sits there for days. I am computer savvy. When I have install in the past I would cancel the download when I saw a percent files downloading. I then would copy all the the resources from a backup copy saving the huge download time.
I have install Mavericks a number of times as well a s Logos 5 and it never starts the download. The folder ~\Library\Application Support\Logos 4 - Folder Size never increases staying at 6.4MB.
Please reply only if you have a legitimate solution and not "Have you tried this?" or "Have you consider that?"
It seams to get locked on trying to initiate the file comparison; for what it needs to actually download to complete your library.
Thank you, for assisting in the matter at hand.

Is there some special reason you wanted to discourage people from attempting to assist you?
You have not provided the necessary information for someone to analyze your problem. Please enable and post logs, so that others can see where the failure occurs. See the link in my signature to activate logging and to attach the files to the forum.

No, I am not trying to discourage people from helping, I just would like the problem solved; with forums, they tend to split hairs and go around in circles, etc.. I am was hoping someone would reply saying something like the following... "Had that same problem... you do "this" and your program will run...". I would provide addition information if I had it or could get to it; I get no errors that I can see, but the CPU dedication to Logos is very high. I beleive Mavericks is stopping some form of communication with Logos during the verification/syncing process. Based on my intuition I think Mavericks a has missing file or has changed a key file. Like I said before, a clean install of Mavericks and Logos 5 has been preformed; no other installs are performed; I still get the same results... (No Firewalls/ Antivirus/Internet Security's installed - because they could hamper the installation). When I first install Mavericks as an Upgrade I have had no problems with any of my programs.

Would like to look at Logos diagnostic log files => https://www.logos.com/support/logos5/mac/problem

Dear Chris,
I have tried tricking Logos by canceling download by Force Quit then coping all the resource from a backup... Still it fails to connect/sync with Logos.
I have another program that fails to run... it may be locking up on that same file.. I have found several programs that have reported the same error.
Let me install and get the error message. Found it... "Get Backup Pro" returns the following error - Warning! The required 'gnutar' tool has not been detected!
I am thinking it may have to do with that file/program.
Thank you for the support.

From what others have said you should be able to use the Scan command to get your backed-up resources into Logos. You can find some info about Scan at http://wiki.logos.com/Logos_5_Commands I haven't done it because sync'ing still won't work which means no sync'd layouts, updates, resources, etc, so I haven't bothered. I'll wait until it's fixed. Using a different Mac Bible software without issue in the meantime.

Ok I have created a work-around.
Prior to performing the work-around... read the following carefully (many times before preforming).
Note:
Please, review this work around an number of times.
Please, correct/post as needed so others may work using a more accurate work-around.
Please, have some working knowledge of Apple OS
Please, have a backup of your old Logos Data Folders
Please, understand that this is to help and if you choose to use, you use at your own risk.
Work Around:
You must have a copy of your ~\library\Application Support\Logos4 saved in another drive/folder other then the current working folder.
Delete existing Logos Program from Application on the working system
Delete ~\library\Application Support\Logos4\ on the working system
Download the application from Logos website if needed.
Once you have acquired the Logos Install file turn off your internet.
Run the Logos Install File
Then run Logos, fill in your account/password information make sure you have work offline selected.
Then close Logos Application.
Special Note: Every fresh install of Logos makes a special folder name - located -~\library\Application Support\Logos\Data\ (Mine is "kigxtux1.wih")
Open two folders:
First being you actual working folder on your freshly install Mavericks
Second being your backup of your original Logos software.
My fresh install folder location is as follows: ~\library\Application Support\Logos4\data\kigxtux1.wih\
My backup folder location is as follows: ~\library\Application Support\Logos4\data\5c5cyk1u.6er\ ---- on a TimeCapsule Backup
Copy everything from backup folder location to fresh install folder location (My Data was about 37GB) so it will take some time to copy.
Restart Logos, Your Logos Library will show all your resources.
Then select sync icon in the upper right area.
Sync should complete after all updates have been downloaded.
Completed
My Logos always exits with an error... if your does submit the error log to Logos. Logos may then correct the error in a timely manner or may put pressure on Apple to fix what ever is needed.
