Ipad App is continually "checking for updates"
Is anyone else experiencing this issue where the ipad app has started to check for updates and continually tries to do this, evident by the little circle continually going around and round never stopping. I've restored the ipad (1), deleted the logos app and downloaded the latest version 3.1.1 (3.1.1.1744) from the apps store but no improvement. Any suggestions as to how to rectify this? <seems to have stopped now after 2 days? who knows maybe there was a big update??>

Neil – I suspect that your issue isn't one of "checking for updates," but possibly downloading resources and/or note files. Do you have many notes and/or highlights?

By the way... Any "updates" would only be resource updates (not software) and those normally require you to take action before they download. Additionally, only downloaded resources need to be updated... Offline resources are updated automatically in the cloud.

Thanks for that - I do have quite a few note files - that may well be what the issue is. I'll keep an eye on that. Many thanks.

Peace to my Logos Community Forums Sisters and Brothers! *smile*
Please note:
This is an OLD, OLD, OLD thread!
However, I wanted to ask someone (Alabama? - you - Alabama are much appreciates for the loving service you show to so very, very many of your brothers and sisters!!!!) (someone else?) ???
I am NOT having trouble with my iPad apps: however, I WOULD like to know, please, ... whether my large number of notes is actually downloaded onto my iPad??? I have good Wi-Fi at home, and they come up almost instantly .. Perhaps it doesn't matter ... as long as it "works," ... and it does! I would like to know though and whether or not that has any ramifications over against my usage?
BTW, Alabama, THIS is my note from 1 Thessalonians 1:3: "
Practical proof of faith -

κόπος: laborious toil
noun, masculine, singular, genitive
κόπου τῆς ἀγάπης
This is loving service -- service flowing from love.

Hi Milford
Notes are synced down to your iPad.
you can verify this by going into airplane mode and seeing if you can access your notes.

Well-Done, Graham! Airplane mode! Why on earth didn't I think of that!???
I'm soon going to be using it and do my reading in the peaceful corner of my bedroom -- in about 90 minutes -- AND that's the first thing I will try out ....
even though I KNOW that your insights are "right on"! Thanks Graham! *smile* Peace!
