Logos has not/will not updated beyond 5.1.2.0083
I have tried using the update now command among other things. Nothing updates. Although, I did see that it was trying to update an old version of Libronix I still had on my machine.
Have you tried rebooting the computer? Or the web link to update?
What OS?
has not updated in over a month.
Mavericks.
I think this should be reported as bug, because so many users have same problem. Try to reboot mac and it will solve the problem
If your goal is to figure out what is wrong, submit logs. If you goal is to update your software, download the engine manually. See the link above from Dave, or in my signature line.
6472.Logging.zip
Started and it downloaded and hung 99%. Restarted again, said it was ready to install. However, I have restarted the computer several times in the past month and have never gotten that far. These are the most recent logs.
... The update that it did finally do was not the most recent one. Only updated .0092
The indexer log shows 5.1b SR-3 (current version) was downloaded but there are several errors:-
WARN | 7 | UpdateManager | Existing job 'Update:1770' exists; removing it. 11/07/2013 15:06:52 | ERROR | 7 | MacDownloadManager | Error getting native job 'e23cf002-8775-4cae-bc8f-6edeca89b170'
WARN | 7 | IndexerProgram | Expected 1 downloaded file in '/Users/sampedigo/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Data/39lr3q7s.iq6/UpdateManager/Resources/1770'; found 2 files.
and
ERROR | 1 | ApplicationUtility | SQLite Error 28: file unlinked while open: /var/folders/x1/m08sk9ds0l9b40zd_jc2r02w0000gn/T/Logos-DownloadProgress-39lr3q7s.iq6.db
I don't know anything about Mac job creation but I would delete the above download progress file and restart Logos. Logos Support would be the next step if this does not work.
release notes says this is the current version
I'm not near my computer to read logs, but I wanted to point out that an RC is considered "stable," but it hasn't been released to the "stable" channel. You'd need to either be on the beta channel OR manually download the engine.
Sam,
This isn't important as you seem to have ignored my recommendation to delete the download progress file which could fix the problem.
