Hi All,
The subject says it all. Do you have suggestions on good fonts for lyrics?
Thanks!

This is a matter of personal taste. I prefer san-serif fonts on the big screen because the serifs can add clutter. Others prefer serif fonts because they let the eye track the text more easily (I simply disagree with this view).
Of the san-serif fonts out there, many are quite nice. The clearest are usually variations of Helvetica. I do not use Proclaim, but for the projection programs I use (SongShow Plus and OpenSong), I find Arial (bold) to be a good, readable font that does not draw attention to itself. Some don't like Arial, but I'm not sure why. It's a clear, easy to read font.
Whatever you do, don't use fancy typefaces as these can be difficult to read. I prefer to use a single typeface and stick with it for all songs. This way no one is thinking about the typeface. The vast majority of people have no opinion on typefaces, unless they are difficult to read. A simple, clean typeface is almost always best for song projection.

Hi David
One of the selling points of the Proclaim is their adoption of the 'KISS' principle.
When you enter a song the program checks the back ground and then offers the best available typeface and colour.
Over the years I have abandoned fancy backgrounds for hymns and now choose a simple graduated dark colour and white or almost white text.
I want the congregation to concentrate on the words - not to be thinking 'what funny text' or 'I wonder where that picture was taken'
