Crash
When I start logos on my Mac Pro it pinwheels and then exits. I have done a fresh install as suggested. Checking fonts won't start. attached ate the logs.1106.LogosLogs.adrianpiazza.20131120-103129.zip

Please try this. There's an issue with Verse of the Day (on the home page) causing crashes on many people's Macs at the moment:
Try the following:
- Start Logos with the Cmd key pressed down.
- When the dialogue box appears, choose Offline mode.
- When Logos is open, click on the little gear-wheel at the bottom left of the Home Page and uncheck Verse of the Day.
- Restart normally to get back to online mode.

As who suggested? I also assume that you don't actually mean a "fresh install," but rather you just deleted the app and reinstalled the engine, right? A FRESH install would have required deleting all the resource files... which is an extreme measure.
Reinstalling the engine alone is rarely a fix for anything.

Have you tried loading to a blank layout? Press and hold the command key immediately upon startup. Check the appropriate box.

I checked the logs, but was unable to decipher them (I am only half techie...). I did find something interesting in an error log:
SQLite Error 28: multiple links to file: /Users/adrianpiazza/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Data/f8z968dt.8ox/LibraryCatalog/catalog.db
I am unsure what this means. I found another thread with the same error message, but there wasn't a resolution posted.

Uncheck the verse of the day is the fix. I would love to be techie enough to understand why this would cause a crash, but I had Monday's worth of notes I could not access last night and this morning. Thanks.

This should be fixed now. You can re-enable Verse of the Day on Mac.

It has appeared in several log files recently, but there has never been an explanation from Logos that we all can see.

2.5 Multiple links to the same file
If a single database file has multiple links (either hard or soft links) then that is just another way of saying that the file has multiple names. If two or more processes open the database using different names, then they will use different rollback journals and WAL files. That means that if one process crashes, the other process will be unable to recover the transaction in progress because it will be looking in the wrong place for the appropriate journal.
Beginning with SQLite version 3.7.17, the unix OS interface will send SQLITE_WARNING messages to the error log if a database file has multiple hard links. As of this writing, SQLite still does not yet detect or warn about the use of database files through soft links.

Does this mean that the file (catalog.db) should be deleted and rebuilt? Another strategy?
