No, it's probably just that someone dropped out or lowered their bid to below $10. One person is all it should take to get it back to $10.

If you haven't studied Chrysostom, you are missing out. Preached at Antioch and then became the bishop of Constantinople. Was exiled because he called the empress out publicly for extravagance while neglecting the poor. Fasted to the point that he permanently damaged his body. This is a great read!

It's ten now, but Logos did interact with it yesterday. It was 120% before at $12 bid and about 105% at $10 bid. I cant believe that everything dropped by 7-10% without Logos interaction. In that case too many people would opt out. Overall, its not good IMHO to do this. I hope Logos will never do this anymore

If I work out the math, too many people would suddenly opt out for no reason. The whole chart dropping by 7-10% is way a lot for 4 Volumes. If it would be a simple 1 Volume book, that would make a sense, but not in this case

Not necessarily. The math is actually consonant with just one person having cancelled their bid.

Let’s say that a resource costs $1000 to produce. You need about 84 people bidding at $12 to cover the production cost of that book. Now, you’re trying to get the bid price down to $10. In order to do that, you need more people bidding or people with bids lower than $10 increasing their bids to at least $10.

It would take 100 people bidding at $10 to cover the $1000 in production cost. However, when there are 99 people bidding, a successful bid is still $12. With 99 $12 bids the book will be at 118% (99 x $12 = $1,188)

Once the 100^th person places their bid and the price drops to 10 dollars a bid, everyone’s successful bid drops to $10, which means the % covered will automatically drop from 118% to 100%.

Once it’s there, however, if just one person cancels their bid, the successful bid will automatically go back to $12 and the percentage covered will jump back up to 118%.

When a resource is this close to two different prices, one person's bid can have a significant effect on the outcome.
