Text Comparison: Selecting Bibles to Compare

I have not been able to figure out what determines the versions used in the "Text Comparison" feature on the Android App. (I use it on my Kindle Fire).
It does not seem to be related to what I select on my desktop Logos 5 program.
I'd really like to select the Bibles that I WANT when using this function.

Curious.

I tried an experiment on this the other day and in my system it follows the priority set on my PC version. I even altered the PC version and the Android followed suit about 24 hours later. I did have to 'stop' the Android version to get it to sync though! If there is a quick method I have not discovered it yet.

Interesting, I didn't realize you could change these bibles android goes to for comparisons. I thought these bibbels were just what was most mainline

I ran a Text Comparison on my desktop with the following Bibles selected:
NIV84, ESV, The Message, NIV
(Of course, it's pretty easy to change which of those Bibles I want to view in the comparison).

Then, on my Android app, I ran Text Comparison and it consistently uses:
NIV84, ESV, NLT, NKJV, HCSB
(and I can find no way to alter that selection)

In my prioritized list of Bibles I do NOT have NLT, NKJV or HCSB selected AT ALL anywhere on my list of prioritized resources. (I don't use those anywhere in my studies).

Nor, do I have those versions downloaded on my Kindle Fire. The app seems to just be deciding on its own which to use and it goes to the server to pull them up. Seems very strange to me.

I have been having similar problems up until now. While reading in the New Testament, I would only get my current Bible to appear in the text comparison tool followed by the NA27 and NA28. However, I just realized that my Android Bible app was drawing from my Bibles that have advanced prioritization limits. For instance, I prefer Logos to use the NA27 when I use lexicons such as BDAG.

I resolved this problem by moving my advanced prioritizations below my English Bibles, by restarting my Android phone, and by syncing. (I am not sure if a restart is necessary; I did not try it first without restarting.) Hope this helps!

Thanks for the note, Adam. I went back and checked to see where these "unwanted" resources are showing up in my Text Comparison report and didn't find them anywhere in the list.

(of course, I don't understand anything about "Advance Prioritization Limits" so I have no idea if that is somehow a factor in this problem)

Probably the easiest and most helpful solution would be for the App to have a place to select the desired Bibles to use in the Text Comparison. That way users could see the comparisons they actually want to see. Problem solved. Case closed.

OK. I can see what the problem has been now!
Having some parallel Bible resources prioritized AHEAD of my selected Bibles was affecting what showed up on the Text Comparison on my Android device.

Evidently resources such as: "Harmony of Samuel, Kings", "Harmony of the Gospels", "Parallel Passages in the Pastoral Epistles" are somehow treated as other Bible versions. When they were listed ABOVE my other prioritized versions such as "The NET Bible" or "The Message", they took priority on the Text Comparison list.

Anyway, now that I've put my selected Bibles ahead of these parallel resources, the Text Comparison on my hand-held is adjusting correctly to that selection. Nice!

I have a feeling Morris Proctor is not going to like this, however, since he makes so much effort to make helpful recommendations on utilizing the list of Prioritized Resources. (What ya think, Mo?)

Since this "fix" is probably going to pose other problems in using the Prioritized resources to one's best advantage, however, I would STILL recommend by previous suggestion:
