Verbum Indexer Terminated

Clean install. No tricks. Haven't done a complete install from scratch in a while so I did this time. Installed Verbum, let it download and index untouched. It downloaded most of my resources, indexed, then downloaded more resources, and started a complete reindex, terminating during the indexing.
This system does have Logos app, running the latest stable atm.
Disk health is good.

I ran it twice more to see if it would recover on its own:
And again after deleting index files:
No joy. Can't figure this one out. The indexer simply quits. What am I missing?

Indexer.log looks like Bible Indexing is starting. If VerbumIndexer.exe * 32 process is quiting, does Windows Event Viewer have any relevant entries ?

Yes it terminates as soon as it updates the tray icon to "Indexing 0%".

doh. Should have thought to check & post this. Thanks.

This might be resolved. Still waiting, but indexing is further along than before...
Wondering if the files being indexed differed, I ran a file compare on 'ResourceManager\Resources' between my Verbum and Logos installs. Noticed that most of the differences were the Smart Selection files. Launched Verbum again and checked Settings. Smart Selection disabled. Toggled it On and then back Off. Indexer hasn't stopped where it has been stopping, though still a long ways from complete.

I have absolutely no idea why the above would change anything. Maybe it was coincidental? I think I was thinking that if the settings were set to enable Smart Selection and the smart selection files were missing it might cause issue, but that only made sense to me half asleep last night. That shouldn't have anything at all to do with indexing. But nothing else changed. 6 or 7 runs. All failed but the final one after toying with only that setting. And it was already set to Off. Doesn't make sense.
Indexing fine. Actually, rebuilt Logos index while indexing Verbum after seeing that Verbum was working. With LOW priority, system totally responsive while two indexers running. And time not extended too badly. Before one indexer at normal would cause hiccups during portions of indexing.
Observations:
The small icon, viewed in task manager, is still the Logos icon.
There is a huge number of "Warn Sinai.SinaiMessage Unable to read run type 81. Returning NULL pointer." messages in both the Logos & Verbum indexer logs, but they occur at different places, during indexing of different resources. Not sure what that message means.

I hate to keep talking to myself here, especially when I don't know if I know what I'm talking about but.... As indexing was approaching 100% for both Logos & Verbum I opted in for a vyrso freebie. The dialogue in the notification area indicated new resources were available but did not indicate if previous indexing was complete/incomplete. I clicked to add the new resources in both apps, but it appears to be doing a complete re-index of both apps. I'm pretty sure this is not the first time I've observed this behavior in recent releases. If a new resource is available and the user clicks to add it, any current indexing is tossed while the new resource is added and indexing starts again from scratch.

Have likewise experienced hours of indexing effectively being discarded to download a new resource.
Note: working offline when (re)building entire library index keeps new resource notifications from appearing.

Apologies: unable to replicate identical icons in Windows 7 Task Manager (found Verbum and Logos icons):
Found Verbum and Logos icons in Notification area when both were indexing (to add December's free Logos book):

Me three. I experienced this especially during the October Update Debacle.

This is extremely bad behavior, discarding all indexing for a single resource. And absolutely no indication. Once another resource is avail there is no indication of indexing status.

Actually, this is worse.I misunderstood the point when this happens. The indexer discards the index in progress as soon as a new resource is available, whether you click the install now link or not. This is third time indexing entire library in both apps because indexer discarded index to download a single resource. Internet now off.
LibraryIndex Checking 1 resources that may have changed since they were last indexed.
LibraryIndex 6,815 resources need to be indexed, and will be merged into an index of 0 resources.
LibraryIndex Re-indexing because the existing index seems to have been corrupted.
LibraryIndex Final count: 6,815 resources need to be indexed; no merge necessary.0 -
Hate to say it, but I told you so. The inability of indexer to efficiently recover from unexpected conditions (from the point of view of the indexer) leaves much to be desired.
