Highlighting in Sentence Diagrams

I love the highlighting features.  I also love the Sentence Diagramming features (namely the text flow diagrams).  Is there a way to use highlighting on a passage put into a text flow sentence diagram?

No there is not. Don't know if this is even possible but I could see the usefulness of it. Right now you'd have to use the text tools to color, bold, or change the size of font of the text to 'highlight' it.

you could add a box around the text like so:

not ideal but at least it stands out..

This CAN be done in Logos 3 with the sentence diagrams.  I've been waiting for this feature set to be brought forward into the new version for a year now.

Okay.  So now it's been TWO full years of using Logos 4 and waiting for the highlighting feature to be added back to the Sentence Diagram feature so I can uninstall Logos 3 where this is supported.

Any update on this from an authority at Logos?  I'm wondering if this is going to be added and just sitting at the bottom of a feature request pile somewhere or if it has been scrapped from the product.

If it just needs some people to speak up and say they want or need this.  I can help with this as I know dozens of Inductive Bible study leaders who would love to use this feature.

    Any update would be appreciated!

    Grace and peace,

One option would be to put the sentence diagram into Word, then create a PB which you could then highlight the resource.

Using Logos 4.5 Beta 5, learned drawing tools can be added to a text flow sentence diagram:

Following words cannot be above a word in a text flow diagram (can be below and/or beside).

Likewise learned lines and words have font color and display characteristics.  However, cannot apply highlighting style to selected word(s) in a sentence diagram.

Concur with inductive study workaround using Personal Book (can apply highlighting and change Note indicator in Logos 4.5 Beta 5):

    also waiting....

Same here. I enjoyed this feature in L3 and tried to use it yesterday in L5 when to my surprise, it's gone. The reason I liked it was to keep my Bible text "clean" by throwing together a Sentence Diagram and marking it up. Visual Filters only work on searches.

The PB workaround sounds promising as well if I'm in a bind, but it's a clunky workaround. Having it built into Sentence Diagrams was so much easier.

In Logos 5, highlighting is stored in Notes documents, which can be turned on and off in the Visual Filters menu (three circles) in a resource. So you don't need to make a sentence diagram to keep your Bible "clean"; just turn off the Notes document that contains the highlights.

The ability to turn notes off and on through visual filters is another amazing feature of L5.
