Help me please with a "rule" for Latin Studies Collection

Peace and Joy in the Lord to my Sisters and Brothers in this Logos Community!

Today I was inspired by the fact that Bruce Dunning is going to study Latin! *smile* Wow! Very commendable ... very inspiring indeed ..

.... so, I decided that it's way past time for me to review and polish my Latin Studies of old .... I have a large library, including Perseus and other Latin works since I've been using Logos Bible Software since the Spring of 1993 -- How can that be? It is what it is!

So, I'm looking for a bit of help in finding what I do have ..... in my library I found a lot of stuff at type:lexicon latin AND type:grammar latin nothing appropriate at type:encyclopedia latin .... what about monographs? how could I narrow it down there, please? type:monograph latin gives me 1,467 resources ... which of those could be a Latin textbook, if any ..

Also, could someone help me with a few ideas to build a Latin Collection. It's not that late in the evening here, but my mind seems to be a bit fuzzy in that I'm having a bit of difficulty writing a rule for a Latin Studies ...... Collection

If any of you have a few moments, I'd love to hear your input if you have something to share, eh???!!! *smile*

Combining type:monograph AND (title:latin OR subject:latin) might help you narrow down the Monographs to relevant Latin learning resources instead of just using the unrestricted term latin which will pick up every Perseus title that's in Latin. On the other hand, you might want to create a separate collection using the rule lang:latin (so that you can practice reading/translating some of them).

If you use communitytag:latin you will find several Monographs, Grammars, Lexicons, and a Dictionary that might be of interest to you, some of which you might not own yet but might want to pick up.

I don't believe using communitytag: will show you resources you don't own. It can only show you how the community has applied that tag to resources in your library.

back to the drawing board as I try to work with type:lexicon latin type:grammar latin and type:dictionary latin .......... I don't have a clue how I will address the incredible number of Latin monographs I own....

I'd really better learn to read Latin well; since I'm going on 78 right now ... older than Jack Caviness and much, much older than George, eh???!!! That is, if the Lord will permit me to read them before He calls me Home! *smile*

However, I am grateful for "communitytag:latin" Rosie! As I have time and opportunity I will be looking at the 284 resources it identifies and subdividing them with various taggings ... Thanks to both of you for your time and great thinking! *smile*
