You can't cut and paste (as far as I know) individual words but you can copy entire sections
Right-click on a section header (such as "Word by Word") and select "Copy"
Yes I agree that the software is not that friendly when it comes to trying to copy and paste. Even when trying to select verses and then copy to paste to outside documents, that does seem to happen easily. Logos 4 was easier to select and copy verses but difficult to scroll down. Logos 5 is easy to scroll down but almost impossible to select the verses. Anyone can help us decipher this?

Logos does not provide this capability, but you can do it with a screenshot reader with OCR such as ABBYY Screenshot Reader. You can select any rectangle of text on the screen and it will copy the text to the clipboard. It's one of the most useful utility programs I've ever bought. I use it almost every day.
Now that recommendation is by no means meant to excuse Logos for its failure to make the text in all Guides copyable, and I do hope they implement that someday. (They've said in the past that it's really hard to do, so they're not sure they'll ever be able to.) But anyway, at least there's this workaround through third-party software in the meantime.

Incidentally, there is a request for this feature on UserVoice, and you can go add your vote(s) to the 607 existing ones, and maybe we can push this up in priority for Logos.
