I don't seem to have reported this one earlier:
Only the left side responds to font slider changes.
I am able to reproduce this issue on Mac and have created a case for Development. Thank you.
Thanks.
This is partly solved with the new Program Settings design in 5.1a. However, the little arrow, the question mark, and the popup text from it are still tiny:
So is the little delete x in Hidden Resources.
And the size of the Hidden Resources box doesn't adapt either. With my most common setting, I can only see four titles, which is far too little for comfort.
There also seems to be a parity issue here: Bug: Hidden Resource panel width problems shows eight titles. Even with the smallest possible font size, I only get [nearly] seven.
I would want the default to be at least ten titles, regardless of font size, and I would also want the box to be resizable. (If you don't fix that at the same time, I would want about twenty titles.)
(Why do I have to keep reporting things like these? Why can't developers see for themselves that not all things respond to font slider changes? It's not exactly rocket science...)
Bump.
The little arrow, the question mark, and the popup text from it are still tiny. So is the little delete x in Hidden Resources.
I will report this issue. However I believe that this is by design on Mac. On Windows this is not an issue since there is Program Scaling available that enlarges the little arrow, the question mark and the pop up text.
I will create a case for this parity issue.
I do not know if they will be able to make the default to be at least ten titles regardless of font size. But I will go ahead and create a case for these suggestions, to increase the default number of titles and make the box resizable.

Sounds like the designer needs some counselling. :-)
The issue with popup text not responding to font slider should be fixed in 5.2a Beta 1. The little arrow, question mark, and delete X do not respond to font slider by design.

Bad design.[:(]

You had to rub it in, did you?[:)] But thanks for writing up the cases.
Could one of you take a look at BUGS: Font Sliders again... (TOC, various dropdowns)? Is Tommy really correct that all of those are "by design"? I can understand it to some extent when it comes to symbols, like the above, but text? We need to be able to read the text, otherwise, how can we use the program?
And could you please give an ETA for fixing the Translation Rings? They're a pretty important tool, and I haven't been able to use them for a year.

He is, unfortunately, correct. The font slider is intended to scale text inside panels, not UI elements - that is what (sorry) Program Scaling is for. As for why that is unavailable, I'll give you Martin's word on it:
"OS support has not gotten any better for supporting this feature. As of 10.7, they actually deprecated all the methods that were being used when originally attempting to support this."
So sadly font slider affecting app UI elements goes against the design intention of the slider, and Apple themselves have quashed any chance of us supporting program scaling.
The case for that is still active, but unfortunately we don't have an ETA for it yet. Sorry this post is all bad news. [:(]
