Have the Catholics left us or did we seperate them on the forums?
I hope you are not trying to be offensive... Are you? "The Catholics" haven't gone anywhere.
Really not meaning to offend. ... No Catholic listing in main forum lists or is my eyesight and mobile phone betraying me?
What do you mean? I believe there are more Catholics here than there ever has been.
Interesting observaton. If one hadn't been familiar with the forums development in Logos, you would assume it's pretty much a protestant operation (i.e. forums for each of the major protestant groups). 'Orthodox' these days is kind of generic. And 'Verbum' has meaning only if you know latin.

We really need a Verbum specific forum.

I think Jack may disagree with you. He does represent a more major group than the SDA after all.[:D]
Indeed!

Yes, I think it is time for this.
Ditto verbatum
The rapture?

I don't think we need to all be on a different forum for faith group to be represented.
I thought the forum was for general Logos based questions, not faith specific.
If we did all have separate forums I think we would have a lot of work looking at all of them to get an answer.

The suggestion of having a separate forum is not because of faith issues but software ones as Verbum is structured differently.

Ahh ok I understand Bruce Thank You
I know "forum" and "forums" are used interchangeably many times. I was resorting to the dictionary usage where the singular is a subset of the plural. We already have a forum dedicated to Libronix, another to Logos 4, and yet another to Logos 5. It seems only fitting to have one dedicated to Verbum.
This would not mean Verbum would be located on a separate website. At least not the way I view it.

For those that may have missed previous discussions, this has come up before from a couple different viewpoints, products and software.

Not to talk about the fact that we have a Reformed, a Lutheran, a Pentecostal, an Anglican, an Orthodox and an SDA forum. What's missing is mainly Catholic, Baptist and Methodist. The latter two will probably come when Logos has finished hiring Product Manager for them, but the Catholics already have a Product Manager.
I am learning things even about the forums I did not know.[:$]
There ought to be a forum for Catholic resource suggestions. As it is now, there is nowhere to post them. There are forums for Anglican resources, Lutheran, Orthodox, Pentecostal, Reformed, SDA, and Vyrso. I thought there was a sub-forum for each resource group that had a product manager associated with it, which would be read (and often responded to) by that product manager, so I'm surprised there isn't one for Catholic resources, as there is a Catholic product manager. Posting resource suggestions on the generic "Suggestions" forum is like posting into a black hole. We never get any feedback. I'm not Catholic myself, but I often like to suggest Catholic resources, and I fear they aren't getting as much attention as they would if I could direct them to a specific forum.
I noted the absence of a Catholic forum last week. As for the protestants, there is no Wesleyan/Methodist forum - at least one major protestant group, but too many reformer thought/think of us as heretics.

It's not because of being thought as heretics. SDAs get thought of as a cult by some and yet there's a forum for their product suggestions. It's because Logos has not (yet) hired a Wesleyan/Methodist product manager. Ditto for Baptist. I doubt there'd be enough interest in a Mennonite/Anabaptist one, but that's another area that's lacking.

No concern here - as you know, I have been a long time spokesperson with a Methodist/Wesleyan voice. No one here (George? [:)], but probably for other reasons) has called me a heretic. Just wanted to clarify Denise's statement. You added more evidence. Blessings.
Hey have a sit in... go to the forum you think is most anti catholic and post many catholic topics.. have the pentecostals lobby for a catholic forum..... lol... [6]

Christian History Magazine issue 10—The Baptists—had an article that claimed we have an identity crisis. Guess someone at Logos agreed [^o)]
With the growth of multiple forums, it would be nice if Logos would add a "Mark all Read" button. As it is now, I spend almost as much time clicking "Mark Forum Read" as I do actually reading the ones that interest me.

+1 on that.
Amen. I would like to see a way of selecting which forums show on your forum screen. Like Jack I go through clicking "Mark forum read"before going to the "view unread posts" page. It would be helpful if you could simply view the unread posts from the forums you want to view (I won't use the term "subscribe" as that has a different meaning in the Logos forums). If that isn't implemented, I suspect it will be only a matter of time before we get people from one camp trolling the other camp's forum (which is sad, undesirable, wrong and terrible, but will probably happen). Given that Logos is also now marketing classical resources to people who are not necessarily Christian (something I approve of), we could also get some trolling in both directions there.
As a Logos 5 user who also uses iPad I really don't want to see Android, Windows Store, Faithlife etc posts and get somewhat frustrated when "Read all unread" on a Saturday evening brings up a list of panicked Proclaim users trying to put together their presentations for Sunday. Not that I don't have any sympathy for them, but I can't help and often have enough issues of my own for Sundays!
I suspect that the temperature of some forums will rise considerably if we aren't able to select those we want to view more elegantly before long. I have tried doing this via RSS but haven't found a way of doing it yet that works well.
Thanks for helping me with the discussion I intended. I am a Methodist but own a lot, almost all the RC resources. Also interested in anything from Pope Francis and anything from Orbis (MaryKnoll), Jesuits, and other Orders (including women and others). I read some Scott Hahn.... but would like some balance
Looking forward to Methodist - Weslyan(all varieties) - Arminean forum, but no flames with the Reform - Calvinist folk. I grew up SBC so also still have some Baptist interests, church & state not wet or dry.

There are seperate verbum forums you reach from Verbum.com
That is the Verbum blog mentioned in some of the other threads. It's not really a forum like this is or a place for product suggestions/support. It's definitely a help for tips and news on the Logos Catholic offerings.
