Read Aloud Not Responsive

Has anyone experienced this problem and have a solution....I am running Logos 5 on a Windows 8.1 PC. Lately when I do Ctrl + R, the program shows that reading has started but no sound. When I stop the reading and do "close all", the program freezes and I must go to "Task Manager" to close it. I uninstalled and reinstalled Logos (don't want to do that again) but no change. Any thoughts on what action to take to correct this unwanted action?

We need to see some logs (upload the zipped folder) but it would also help to see the Windows Event viewer.

Been on the phone with Dell Computer and have id some problems with my system. If not able to get them sovled, must do a complete system install...ugh...not again!!

A few other customers have reported this problem. We've investigated, and suspect it may be an infinite loop in the "SpeechSynthesizer" component in the .NET Framework. However, we haven't been able to reproduce the problem to confirm this suspicion. If we're correct, it's a bug that would need to be reported to Microsoft. We haven't found a way to work around it in Logos 5; the only "fix" is to avoid Read Aloud, sorry.
