How Can I Delete Old Completed Reading Plan For IPad?

Just got an IPad 2 for Christmas and am attempting to incorporate my daily bible reading plan on it.  Unfortunately the only plan that pulls up is an outdated one that I completed more than a year ago.  I checked my computers and deleted all old plans except the current one.  I even uninstalled the app and reinstalled it to find that it still syncs with the same outdated reading schedule.  It is possible that this reading plan comes from an older computer that crashed last year and therefore I am unable to delete it from the data base.  Can someone offer a word of advice about how to remove this old/completed reading plan from my Ipad app?  Can you also offer a word of advice about how I might incorporate the new one on my device?

Hi Chad - and welcome to the forums.

To delete an old reading plan on the iPad, go the the library screen, right-swipe on the plan and a "delete" button should appear on the right hand side

In terms of incorporating a new desktop plan, there is a long-standing problem with synchronisation which Logos is working on but we dont know when it will be released

If you are running Logos 4.3 then the plan may well sync sometime in the next couple of weeks. :-)

If you are running the Beta 4.5 then, as we were told at the start of this beta, 'Syncing' is impossible until the Beta becomes the stable release and the 'apps' are updated to work with it.

Thanks for the info.  Thanks to your post I was able delete the old bible reading plan.  Unfortunate as you pointed out I was unable to sync with my current reading plan.  Instead I was given a generic plan in its place. Oh well I hope this issue will be resolved sooner rather than latter.  Thanks again for the feedback .

Hi Chris - and welcome to the forums

When I swipe on my daily readings it just goes to the search box... So how do I delete reading plans on the iPad?

Press and hold on the Reading Plan and a couple of buttons will slide in - one says "Delete" and the other says "Remove"

    Hope this helps

PS: This may have changed some my original response above - or I could have been mistaken then!

    It did change. [:)]

For clarification... "Remove" is to remove from the list... "Delete" is to delete the actual plan, which will sync across devices.

I am running v.4.0.3 and I don't get the option to delete either by swiping right or by pressing and holding the reading plan. Suggestions please? I have three reading plans I need to remove!

Find the Reading Plan in the Documents tab, swipe-left and you should get a "Delete" option

Swiping left did allow me to remove the extras on iPad.  I started first of year with a new plan on iMac.  However it doesn't seem to be working to have same plan on iPad (original) or if I get it to load on the iPad today I'm unable to edit start date back to 1/1 (on iPad) so it sync's with the iMac.  Is that correct?  I remember having that problem early last year and it eventually resolved itself but not working now.

Can you verify that the same reading plan DOCUMENT is on both your desktop and mobile? Can you give screen shots of both?

Thanks Alabama.  Seems it has now sorted itself out.  Patience works!
