The Best Low Budget / Entry Level Desktop CPU for Logos 5?

Hi to all the techies in the forum... :-)

I am choosing between AMD A8-5600K, AMD A10-5800K, and the INTEL CORE I3-4130. Which processor is best for Logos 5 considering that I have a few bucks to spare?

Also, does the Integrated Graphics that these processors offer enough for Logos 5 Bronze Package which I have?

The core i3 seems to come out on top with benchmarks, and integrated graphics are fine for Logos 5 but not good enough for gaming.

I would go core i3 too. Again, you might big benefits from a faster Hard Drive and more RAM as well

Yes, and a SSD if you can. That creates a huge performance improvement.

I have an inexpensive (~$450) HP laptop with a 3rd Gen Intel i3 processor (i3-3110M) with integrated Intel HD 4000 graphics. Logos 5 works fine for me. Running Verbum Capstone+ plus some additional resources (1600+). Initial download and indexing takes a while, but after that it is very reasonable. As others have pointed out, having an SSD provides the largest single performance boost. I have a low-end 5400 RPM traditional hard drive. Keep in mind that sometimes performance can be subjective based on individual perception.

Thanks for the replies... Will get a new motherboard and processor this coming Saturday. I hope to hear from people who favors AMD over Intel but any thought is still welcome. SSD will probably be on the top of my shopping list for February...

Or the only thing on the list perhaps...[:'(]

I think you will find that most CPU will run Logos fine. CPU have come a long way and even a budget system will do you just fine. I build many systems at different price levels,from $300 up to $4000 and the two exception when choosing a system is always video editing and gaming. The key is to go for a fast boot drive (SSD), 120GB will do just fine and a cheap storage mechanical drive. Newegg have deals pretty much every weekend if you are in the US. Logos is nowhere as demanding on CPU resources. The bottle neck for most modern system is the operating system drive. 4GB can work but 8GB will always be better.

Does this mean that even the new quad core Atom CPUs powering some new Windows Tablets is also okay for Logos 5?

By the way, here's the other specs that I'm going to use with the new motherboard/processor I'm getting:

1 terabyte Seagate HDD (7200) (will probably use this as a second storage drive as soon as my hands lay hold on an SSD)

8 Gb Hyper X Kingston DDR3 (1600) RAM

No discreet GPUs as of the moment...

What I like with the AMD A10 APU is that it seems to support a 3 monitor setup directly out of the box. And I'm planning to do just that in the future as blessings allow me to.

The Atom quad core is adequate for tablets with their low power requirement, but i3, A10 are faster.

Notice Intel Core i3-4330 has score of 5137 that is 4.67 % faster than i3-4330 score of 4908 (typically need 15 % difference for human to notice).

AMD A8-6500K has a score of 4702 while AMD A10-5800K is a bit slower with 4686 score.
